A Mk. IX converted to a two seater T9, S. No. MH 367 of August 1943. A very close cousin of the MH 350 of the Royal Norwegian Air Force that is exhibited in the Norwegian Air Museum in Bodø in Northern Norway.

We miss you every day pop pop, nana val is still with us and as firey as she was when you were still alive. We have your pictures all over the wall. Thank you for your sacrifice, lest we forget. We miss youre calls, and the panicks of "just a little heart attack". The scientists still have your remains. In death you sacrificed your own funeral to donate your body to science. I mean anyone that smokes from 9 to 90 would be a treasure trove for them. Rip 2019 ❤

Wonderful to see MH 367. When first completed in Florida, it had the desert camo paint, but with US markings. It was painted to represent a reverse lend-lease MkV flown by a guy named Levine. It's a very nice T-IX.

1:35 In his book, "Wings On My Sleeve", renowned test pilot Eric "Winkle" Brown said, when he first saw the F86 he knew that he was looking at the Spitfire of the jet age. PS Trust the Aussies to replace six .5 Brownings with two 30 mm Aden cannons.

Hats off to you Jim ... thanks for your service! *High Flight* Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there, I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air . . . Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or ever eagle flew - And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
