I will resume videos soon, I hope. Unfortunately, I got quite ill, which has had some long-term effects. Couple that with my day job, which takes up 60hrs a week and the great British weather I've not been in a position to record much when I have been able to get out. But thank you for watching, it means a lot to know people are still looking in. 😁

i really enjoy my dr otek. it works really well for me. it depends on what type of soil your searching in if its heavy iron halfing the sensitivity helps with this. it takes some getting used to but it works absoolutly fine.

It's the price that was my biggest issue. When you can buy the same unit for around £20 from one of the Chinese sites without the brand on.

I've heard others say it's not good, just not on KZbin. Maybe because I wasn't given the pointer for free to test/review I can be a bit more honest. It just seemed like gadgetry for the sake of it. And when you can buy the same thing for a fraction of the price from verious Chinese selling sites, it seems very overpriced. But it was just my personal unbiased opinion.

That was literally out of the box, field 2, 5 tones, and adjusting sensitivity to suit the field. People put too much thought into custom settings. The Minelab engineers are pretty good. The presets are usually brilliant. Good luck out there, you're going to love the machine. 👍

Lower the Sensitivity and the jumpy VDI will start to be able to make a difference between the targets and I have mine at 12 Sensitivity and I have went higher up to 18 and I haven't lost any targets that I know of but once that I can get the top layer of junk Signals out, I could possibly turn up the sensitivity but it's the ground that is causing the jumpy VDI and it's a Very Powerful Detector and I have a Equinox 600 and I have kept using the X-Terra Pro and the equinox is collecting Dust until I can get the Updates for it but it may still be a shelf hanger once I get the update for it and the X-Terra Pro with the lower sensitivity is still getting Targets that are in the 4-6 inches range and I'm amazed at what it's really capable of doing for the price.....
@beepingmarvelous.
@beepingmarvelous. 11 ай бұрын
To be fair I probably should have explained. But I did drop the sensitivity down and even with the iron volume up the lowere sensitivity wasn't giving good iron tones, and I wanted people to here them to show I'd made the bed as realistic to a natural setting as I could.
@carolrice2063
@carolrice2063 11 ай бұрын
@@beepingmarvelous. And I Never Noticed that you have lowered the Sensitivity on the X-Terra Pro but I will watch it again later on and when you started the video, you Was on Full Sensitivity and you will have to go lower than 20 and the Full Sensitivity is from 21-25 to get off the full sensitivity Area in the X-Terra Pro program but I will watch it again with the volume up once I can....
@carolrice2063
@carolrice2063 11 ай бұрын
@@beepingmarvelous. And the X-Terra Pro also has a fe settings that are in the hidden features in the volume And you can increase the iron volume just press and hold the Settings button once you get to the volume Area and I'm not sure but it has a lot more settings but I don't have it with me now to get you there.... but it's a Very Powerful Detector....
@beepingmarvelous.
@beepingmarvelous. 11 ай бұрын
I tried it while setting up the detector for the video. I did say that I had turned the Fe volume up, but with sensitivity low the iron wasn't really coming through. I am familiar with the interface and menus as I've been using the Nox900 for a while now. This was just a quick run through of the different programs over the same targets rather then an indepth look in to settings.
@carolrice2063
@carolrice2063 11 ай бұрын
@@beepingmarvelous. Okay I can understand what you are trying to do with the X-Terra Pro and it's seems that they have intended to keep the iron volume low even though you have put it on higher level but I have noticed that when you take the Toe of the coil and the X-Terra Pro will give you a iron Grunt just a little bit better than the whole Coil grunt but I have also noticed that every video of the X-Terra Pro that I have watched, is and will actually react differently than the results that I get from it and I have lowered the Sensitivity to 12 and it's seems to a little bit better than the other's videos that I have seen that are in the 21-25 range and when I get to the jumpy VDI I can say that it's a JUNK Target And I have dug a few up just to make sure that it was right.....

I think with the amount of military stuff on that field, it was used as a training ground during the war. We have found a lot of military crate related items, buttons, and .303 rounds there. There is what looks like a hinge barrel on the back of it.
