i respect your opinion, but people think rassie does all the work and Jacques just in the shadow looking good because of rassie. Jacques and rassie are best mates for those of you that dont know, and them working together made the boks so dominant. So I would put Jacques at great. And if we think of the boks (or I do definitely), the first thing that comes to mind is how good their defence is, and that is because of a completely new unseen defence system that Jacques created on his own.

I love selecting ABs, strangely I have yet to be asked for my opinion by Razor, who I doubt needs it or by Foz, who actually did. Weird? We have a shit ton of talent. Everyone mentioned had a positive SR season. There are a few omissions: Plummer could cover Dmac, his goal kicking is reliable and rarely makes dumb decisions and Funaki has a high ceiling, both Blues players have size and power, which matters at test level. Wild cards are Mo'unga and Ardie, if they are in form they are hard to leave out. I think it is Dmac's time now though and he should be given the keys atm. The lack of depth at lock is the only cloud on a bright horizon

Barret is just a great player with all the skills to do well as 10 or 15 and has the speed for wing. Carter was a specialist no.10 and as such Barret cannot be compared to a master.

What about Andrew Mehrtens, played until 2004.

Barrett had 2 great years, he's not in G.O.A.T conversation. The difference between them is how their games evolved over the years. Carter had leg injuries that slowed him down, but his all round skill set meant he evolved as he aged and slowed down. The perfect indication of this is that the 2 best games of his career were at the start AND the end of his career. Barretts greatest asset was his speed. I don't think he has the game to be as good at the end of his career as he was in 2016/17.

Currie Cup is Does the job in in the super 12 days we actually thought it was just as good as super rugby like it was 50/50 now it’s our developmental league the smaller unions get to play in it and some talents that play for them get a chance to be spotted by better teams while our big four teams use it for player development and it’s very effective it bridges the gap between school rugby and URC so it’s important and nobody wants to go but if your team doesn’t win it when you’re supporting one of the big four it’s not the end of the world so does the job is correct
