I have a Bryce young auto of wildcard I’m looking at grading with my submission do you know if that would count?? Would I just need to submit it for card only grading?

Would love a video on tips for selling the graded cards! I agree not much out there discussing it. Also when declaring card value with PSA - do you comp out each individual card and enter that value? About to do my first submission and your videos have been so helpful!

@@everycardastory love your videos! Do you cut all your penny sleeves or do you buy them pre cut on 1 side? I need some of those would make my life so much easier lol
@everycardastory10 күн бұрын
@@Happylights0828 I've cut them myself in the past, but bought a full case of pre-cut from Cardboard Gold. I've had mixed feelings. The cut is super inconsistent so some are so deep that the corner of the card sticks out. I'll probably still buy another case when these run out because I'm lazy and the pre-cut is really nice, but I'm hoping they get a bit more consistent.

Appreciate the explanation on blemishes ie print lines. Better than the generic corner, edge, etc others do. Really shows what to expect with the common blemishes that litter sports cards. Thanks

I know I have a tendency to ramble a bit so it's nice to hear someone found it useful. :) Print lines are just _soooo_ common on today's cards.

there is 178 psa 10 on the teal explosion parallel with a rate of 70%. it is one of the highest pop variations of the #277 hoops card. makes sense why it is going down.
@everycardastory19 күн бұрын
Yup. Super solid points on pop count and gem rate. Definitely makes sense for it to come down, just kind of interesting how in this case, you can literally see the exact sale where it flipped. :)

I think wembanyama market is down bc everyone doing same thing grading every wemby card they own and its supply vs demand just too many wembys
@everycardastory24 күн бұрын
Oh you're 100% correct. It's a bit of the off-season and a bit of supply/demand for sure. I'm kind of taking a mixed approach right now where I don't mind being a bit more open to offers on some of his base and other things with higher pop counts, while being a lot less aggressive selling some of the parallels that are a bit harder to get your hands on.
@joelkaplan215724 күн бұрын
@@everycardastory everyone grading same exact players and same exact cards honestly they do same thing in football with cj stroud
@everycardastory24 күн бұрын
@@joelkaplan2157 For sure. Makes sense...those guys are probably your safest bet at least for moving cards quickly. Some great cards of the "other guys" tend to sit around for quite a while. Grading other less popular stars though is really starting to grow on me (I think you'll see some mixed in a few upcoming submissions) because the low-price point means you can nab some really cool cards of them. You just have to be ok with maybe sitting on them a little bit longer.

What’s your strategy for the cards you receive that you deem upgradable? Great video!
@everycardastory24 күн бұрын
Solid question! I either post them on eBay raw, and note any significant flaws, or, more and more, I'm sending them to COMC. A lot of the cards I don't grade are just super tiny blemishes...a dot or indent here or there. I'm pretty picky, typically. COMC so far has been really good about marking any with significant issues as a lower quality as they list them.
@samdecon325024 күн бұрын
@@everycardastory definitely thinking about sending to COMC. Theres just too much effort in putting it back on eBay and shipping it again. Rather have all my graded cards on eBay.
@MrSteevo2825 күн бұрын
Cool reveal and awesome cards! Did you purchase these cards on ebay/comc or pull them in packs?
@everycardastory25 күн бұрын
In this case, everything in the order is from eBay. That's where I get most of my cards nowadays, though I do some ripping for fun for sure. I do use COMC as well, but mostly for PC cards-I've been picking up some nice Ginobili, Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and David Robinson's from there lately.

Great video! the answer to that question is easy: "it depends on the collector". People who make a living off of cards, yes, it might not be worth it. For me, this is ONLY a hobby. I buy raw cards for $1-$3 dollars and grade them and sell them to local sports cards stores. I always come close to at least doubling my money. The key is education. Educating yourself on what is being bought.
@everycardastoryАй бұрын
"It depends" is not anyone's favorite answer, but almost always the correct one. :) And fully agree on educating yourself on what you're buying. There's a lot of learning involved-learning what sells and what doesn't, what prices are likely to dip or rise and when, how different cards grade & their common issues, etc.

The problem I’ve found with grading low end cards is the amount of time and work required for a $30-$50 return. And sell fees are a pain. But I guess if you enjoy doing it the time spent is not a deal breaker for you. My personal opinion is grading a card with a raw value under $30 does not make sense.
@everycardastoryАй бұрын
I think you hit the nail on the head-it comes down to how much time you want to be spending on this and what your goal is. The per-card profit is a lot lower, so to make anything significant you need to be grading a lot of volume, which takes a lot more time.

If 9s of modern cards cost less or more of raw will be the downfall of psa
@everycardastoryАй бұрын
I think it's going to be really interesting to see what happens with 9's on the ultra-modern stuff long-term. There's a lot of them out there, which I think is part of the problem, but it's really hard to imagine them staying cheaper than raw down the road. Definitely feels like value for collector's who don't mind nabbing gorgeous 9's instead of paying the 10 premium.
