Dam. That looks almost interesting enough to look where my jumpaconda is stored at. I hope, but dont believe, they make basebuilding and underground mining a thing.

I think that would be awesome. I only hope for walking in ships. At least on-foot wouldn’t feel like a separate game.

You don't need to select the deposits to shoot them. In fact in my experience it's counter productive... A fellow Core miner here at heart.. :0

Yeah i know and sometimes shooting without select is for sure faster. But… i’m used to it cuz i mine a lot in metallic rings where selecting deposits is needed cuz its harder not to miss. So its kinda habit.

Cracking asteroids give me asmr vibes everytime 😄 Your hit rate with asteroids is amazing. I'm currently going for opals but it feels like 1 out of 5 has a core. A little annoying

thanks. I think it depends pretty much on where you drop, though.

Hi Cmdr. Thanks for the sub! Just wondering what are the most lucrative items to mine for these days, both core mining and laser? It's been so long since I've mined lol.😄

Hey cmdr. Nice to see you here :) its pretty much monazite / rhodplumsite / musgravite for core. Platinum is meta for laser. But so boring if you have big cargo.

@@theelitenoob5429 Cool Thanks for the advice. I think the Python is a wise choice for mining; decent cargo space but not too much that it feels like a job to fill.

@@Cmdr_GO13BT exactly... tbh it depends on my patience level when I decide to go mining. that's why I have a python 192T, T10 384T, T9 512T, and a cutter 512T but way faster than T9. I pick the ship depending on how long I think I can stay mining.

This place is loaded with cores. I only mine in icy rings cause that's what I was born to do and cores are very rare in icy rings. At least the rings I visit. I can fly for hours and only find a couple of cores.

@@theelitenoob5429 Have never done core mining in a metal ring. Wonder if I can spot the new core types. I'll have to give it a go :)

@@theelitenoob5429 Yeah Icy has a lot of fakes you have to get real close to to spot fissures on. Or wait for a slow prospector limpet. I'll sure give it a try thanks.

Hard for a newbie at core mining to follow. You go pretty fast. What device gives you the Pulse Wave ability? Some charges you were setting and disarming. Why? How do you interpret the detonation yield chart on the upper right panel? And am I right in seeing that you were sorting through the fissures in your panel to pick the low strength ones to set high yield charges onto? It seems like you set far more charges than were actually used. On first approaching when the prospector limpet has shown you the fissures, were you sorting them by distance to ensure you had the charges spaced out a certain way? Finally, are your thrusters engineered? Sorry for all the questions-- it was hard for me to follow, but still excellent to watch! Thanks.

it's all okay, i had those same questions when I started core-mining too. I'll try answering them 1 by 1. The device that gives me the pulse wave is the pulse wave analyzer. it's a utility. regarding arming/disarming, your objective is just to reach the blue zone in the top-right panel - not above, not below. So, when I first put high charge in low, I start testing putting moderate in avg, if the yield is still ok (some rocks are just enough to have 2 high charges in low or 1 high in low + 1 moderate in avg.) and needs more, then I try put low in high until it reaches the blue zone. if I found that the red zone is touched, I just disarm my last charge and try to charge something lower. No sorting by distance at all, I just pick the fissures from the left panel because it shows the fissure's yield while selecting them, you can notice that in the video. My thrusters are G5 engineered dirty drag drives. Though, it's my PD that is not engineered right, it should be engine-focused not weapon focused cuz I just transferred it from a laser-mining ship to avoid wasting materials. I think a non-engineered PD would be enough and if not, then the guardian one is a good choice to have something that is mediocre and will not waste my materials. that's why you also see my eng. capacitor always run out. Hope I could help.
