i ride both too i think one thing that would help you learn is start in a pedal, its hard to tell but it looks like you are just pumping down and picking it up with one pedal, if you start while consistently pedaling it helps youget in the rythem a little easier- thats just a personal prefernce that works for me. also put a little more trust in them brakes and find the balance point. but trust me the more your out practicing it just gets easier and easier
