I grew up in the snow and i love the beach. Not the beach where everyone is there only to soak up the sun but the kind of beach where there are only a few around soaking up the wind and waves. I've paid my dues to snow...

A few years ago, I got rid of all my dvds and cds (watch & listen digitally now)......certainly saves on storage space. I'm also working towards going all digital with books, but have still got quite a pile of printed books still to read 📚. I do like honey and usually buy manuka honey, but these days it's gone even more expensive 😢

I enjoy my DVDs. And I like to read my books in my hand and not on a device, but I understand that people love their digital stuff. I just come from a place of paper being as old as I am and I miss all that I miss writing letters and mailing them.

@Lovinglifeinmy70s I also prefer reading a physical book, but no longer have the storage space for loads of books, especially when I can read a few hundred books in a year. Yes, receiving a handwritten letter in the mail is so much better than an email. I do still write handwritten letters to 'penpals', but the postage costs for international letters (international start at £2.80 and even within the UK - 1st class letter is now £1.65) keep on rising, so that's why a lot of people correspond via email now.

That is really expensive! I just bought a “Book” of stamps. $14. 20 stamps in a book. .70 ea. I remeber when stamps were .5 cents. There were blue with a picture of George Washington on them. That lasted a very long time. Then it gradually started climbing. So yes, to mail something “snail-mail” isn’t cheap!

Wiper blade - go back to people/store you bought them from. If they installed them, they should adjust it for free. I buy mine from local auto parts stores, and they put them on at no charge.

Yes, I’ve been vegetarian since my 20s and vegan since 2010. My daughter was gluten intolerant so we all became GF. But, she seems to have outgrown that, but I am still a bit cautious with consuming gluten. I love lentils and hummus!! I am new to your channel so I am catching up. Nice to meet you. 🥰

I am glad to meet you too and I’m gonna enjoy getting to know you better. I am not needing to eat gluten-free, but I started eating gluten-free about seven years ago and I’ve never looked back. I just feel better that way when I eat that way.

No honey except from the local source. Ask around! Make the beekeeper your friend. Local honey gives great immunity to local allergy triggers.

Mounds of dirt 😅😅that’s cute 🥰 Funny story for you. My husband’s first experience with falling snow was on a bus trip from California to Oregon. They had a rest stop somewhere in the mountains 🏔️. He was walking around in the grass and he said that all these white bugs kept flying around him. A lady asked him what he was doing and he told her he was trying to swat the bugs. She started laughing at him and then explained to him that he wasn’t seeing bugs but snowflakes ❄️ 🤣🤣🤣

Are you gonna bring it down by the truckload one year when I was living in Phoenix a friend of mine and her husband went up to the white mountains or to the mountains where snow came down they filled their entire back of their truck up with snow and brought it and dumped it in my front yard ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha the kids had a ball throwing snowballs and they made a snowman in the middle of Phoenix, Arizona

Wow, that carpet really made a huge difference in that room. Looks so cozy and very pretty. That will surely work well for you. It will cut down on cold drafts and also noise. Hello toothpaste is the only one I use. Really like it.

Hey there Winter. I was thinking about that corner without a pad. Do you think that you could use the foam board from dollar tree to make a piece that would fit? You could slide it into the corner under the other ends and trace the teeth.Maybe cut 2 and glue them together to make the right thickness. And then cover it on both sides with the peel and stick paper so that you can mop or sweep it.

Thank you for the suggestion however that won’t work because I have to put furniture in the corner and if it’s that phone board, it’ll just smash it right down to the floor when I pull the pads up in the kitchen this summer I will take one and cut it to size to fit over here cause I’m gonna get new pads for the kitchen For next winter and cut them so that they fit better in there cause yeah it’s a lousy job in the kitchen but thank you thank you thank you thank you for such great advice.
