Thank you. Allied Force really set the standard for me. I actually randomly recorded this video/tutorial when I was stationed in the army. I had my whole basic hotas setup in my barracks room and would fly nearly every other weekend. Shortly after I started to get into BMS and online multiplayer.

I feel you. I used "labels" for a good while when I first started to fly Allied Force. Then I watched others on KZbin flying without them before I deactivated that function to experience the realism of utilizing the systems as well as my eyes to acquire visual confirmations. It most certainly without a doubt paved the way for transitioning over to the Falcon BMS world.

Same here. Back in the day. This was the combat flight simulator that had my full attention. It fully prepared me for Falcon BMS to date.

Falcon 4 series and Falcon BMS is my go to platform for fighter jet realism. I prefer PC due to flexibility to upgrade and tweak graphics. Others may be good, but I have not tried them. Just being honest and not biased in those regards.

Thanks man. I low key enjoyed AF more than BMS until I started to fly multiplayer more. But I will always have the utter most respect for Allied Force. It really set the standard for me

@@GeorgeStarkes I can see MP being fantastic and BMS is such a passion project I cant be anything but super impressed with it. But for a casual flightsim pilot BMS is a rough one, Ive been into it for a good while some years ago but today I just dont have the time and dedication it require. AF is the perfect middleground between the really complex and the way to casual. Heh...Imagine using Falcon AF as an example of a "middleground" sim experience. How times change XD

I've never heard of nose boost steering before. Only the Nose Wheel steering on/off function. If that's what you meant???

@@tonywalker5746 never mind him, just a DCS fan venting. Falcon 4 BMS 4.37.2 is even more complex than DCS. And there's the good old F4 dynamic campaign. There's not much contest.

well, if you still want the difficulty but not all the info you could try war thunder simulator air battles, but its a big grind and you start with ww1/ww2 planes

@@GeorgeStarkes just got this Sim along with many others, been hooked since my first crash. Landing is a bitch and somehow i had my first successful one at night.

@@captainhindsight5728 Landing has always been my favorite. Definitely a challenge for a while, but the less fuel you have the easier it is to guide your aircraft in for a nice flare into the touchdown. Usually 4,000 pounds or less.

I used the "Look Closer" key bind function while in Orbit view on the weapon and also in the cockpit for the MFD's

As far as the key binds for the views. I just binded them on my throttle. Hat switch functions I had open. I have a Virpil CM3 throttle which leaves me a lot of extra binding options. As far as the PIN and CHOCKS, canopy doesn't matter. Usually as soon as you park and set your parking brake you should put in your pin and then chocks, the. Proceed to shutdown the aircraft. I went out of order because it was just a little training I was doing. I know a lot of people just park and exit without doing any of that. I like to do it all for realism and good practice.

I also use DWVAC. Basically Voice Activated Command software for comms and a lot of other functions like the PIN and CHOCKS.

@@GeorgeStarkes Thanks for the replies. I've a Cougar stick/ throttle combo so my binding options are limited to what the real pair can do. (Just wish my radar cursor switch didn't crap out! ;) Just to be clear regarding the ATC options, I _can_ still order PIN and CHOCKS _after_ shutting down electrical power in the cockpit? PINS and CHOCKS? (I'd be cool if so, to simulate speaking to a ground crew directly.)

@@MikeHalk100 Yes. Pin and chocks still work with no power. Electrical and Engine can be fully shutdown.

Not sure on that one. Try tweaking your in game graphic settings a bit. It's been a good while since I've flown Allied Force so it may just be that way.

I still have the sim, but I don't play it anymore. I currently play Falcon BMS 4.35 only. I built a new gaming PC 2 years ago and Allied Force was having a lot of issues with compatibility so I moved on to BMS solely. Allied force is the best step before going into BMS.

I still play this game to this very day ❤. After my studies I'll prolly upgrade a pc to get into falcon bms or dcs...I luv these games

@@anthonyscott1997 At that age I've already taught myself to drop all the mk, cbu, gbu bombs, shoot maverick missles at tanks, and go on missions to drop durandal bombs on enemy runways. I played using the keyboard, I had no joystick.

You may have purchased the original falcon 4.0 made back in the early 90's. You have to separately download and install this upgraded version Falcon BMS to the original you purchased. Takes a bit to figure out, but there are tutorials to guide you throughout KZbin and (Benchmark Sims) website.

I would check the manual for that. It might be (TMS Right). I only fly BMS 4.35 U1 as of now. Been a while since I've flown Falcon 4.0 allied force.

@@GeorgeStarkes I checked the manual and didn't find tws right there, but I found out that the radar can go to next or previous target with PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN button. The problem is when I do that while the radar is tracking multiple targets nothing will happen Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or it's a bug Anyway, thanks for your help mate.

No problem man. Happy to help. If you ever fly BMS. Let me know. We have a great virtual squadron and fly a lot. We even started up a UPT course from ground up all the way to multiplayer TVT (team vs team) campaigns.
