It would be fair if someone admitted that temporal actions also cannot merit eternal life either but usually people want to avoid that question. Sin is an impediment to knowing God and so loving evil is pursuing to further hamper our ability to know God. So if knowing God and seeing God is what eternal life is, then damnation is nothing but the perpetual spiral away from this ever increasing knowledge of divinity. So we are made for a supernatural end. Falling short of that cripples the soul and sends it on a downward pointed journey toward further disorder. God raises us upward by regenerating us, which entails our setting forth to do His will. But even the thief or murderer who is caught does not deny that what he endures as punishment is unjust, only regretting that he has been caught. So too does the blaspheming king not repent until he is called to account and stricken down, and even then his recognition is only that he has been unjust. The lamentations from hell shall be not those accusing God of injustice but weeping that they had so unjustly lived.

Thank you so much for uploading this! It seems like every other recording of this on KZbin is subpar. Is this version an abridgement? I'm waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail (so I can't check) and the discussion of Revelation that happens in another chapter feels out of place.
@theresponsory335922 күн бұрын
No, this is not an abridgement. The first book is really covering God's intentions and the Immaculate Conception, which is why there's references to the Book of Revelations, because Mary of Agreda is using that as essentially the framework to talk about how God created (particularly, Mary). Hope that helps!

What about physical evil? Death and destruction existed before the Fall of Man. Animals harm and kill one another. Why does God allow that?

Thanks for the comment :) I'm in the process of making a follow-up to this video that touches on this idea. I'll acknowledge, and answer your specific question in it. If you're interested in hearing my answer, I would just check back here within a month - the video will be placed in the playlist "A Series of Remarks."

😭😭😭😭 I wish say something to rape and incest victims But no even a single bible verse that he love us survivors I wish I can be a consecrated virgin Unfurtunetly 😭 SAINT GORRETI,ANGES JOAN AND PHILOMENA ARE ALL CALLED VIRGINS I need a saint who literally got raped, lost her hymen. Bear offspring after abuse. She is a literal victim of rape! Like saint Francis who became poor, so called patron of the poor. Unfurtunetly Some woman since their childhood Became Victim of sexual abuse and incest 😭 I wonder what does Jesus thinks to girls and children victims or sexual abuse Then results children by rape And diseases, worst disability by verbal abuses 😭🥺✨But I wonder can a young girl who was a victim of rape or incest and have child/Ren after rape, Can be a bride of Christ?😭🥺 May God grand my novena That the Catholic church one day have a saint Who was a victim of female sexual harrassment. Or a saint who was a victim of rape then results offspring after it. May God have mercy to us survivors.. Or maybe I one day I'll be a saint for children victim of sexual assaults. I shall not allowed the universal church didn't have a holy victim like me 😭😇

@@Scpr.ValerieMay The bible acknowledges women who have been raped, and I do believe He has an especial love for all women who have suffered in the ways you've described. Jerusalem is a city that is invaded by foreigners, pillaged and ransacked. Even the holy sanctuary of god inside of her is invaded and desecrated. Christ speaks of the city being destroyed again before his return. Jerusalem - or rather the new Jerusalem - the restored Jerusalem - is His Bride. Consider how she is described at the end of the book of revelations ♥️ God bless 🙏 ♥️
This is a wonderful narration. Would you consider uploading this reading to Librivox?

From what I can tell it's oil. Henry Ossawa Tanner has some really nice pieces - both religious and otherwise. I also really like his piece called The Annunciation - a beautiful take on the moment!

@@theresponsory3359 Absolutely, I looked him up & The Annunciation is a fantastic painting. Mary looks kinda horrified but in awe of what she's seeing & hearing. I like the way he's composed her hands. It's as if she praying but at the same time her hands are so tight it's almost white knuckles. What an interesting life Tanner led I had no idea he was Afro/American & one of nine children. Thanks for the reply.🙂

Mary is not his spouse.
@theresponsory33597 ай бұрын
You speak with no authority. Even in scripture, God communicates Mary's distinguished status among all humanity through His angel when he encounters her (Luke 1:28). Also, please consider: as the mother of His only legitimate (i.e., consubstantial), and beloved son (Matthew 3:17), what does that make her to Him? And if that doesn't make her His spouse, then what exactly do you think God is advocating for us in the sacrament of marriage? "For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh. Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder." (Matthew 19:5-6)

He makes springs pour water into the ravines; It flows between the mountains. They give water to all the beasts of the field; The wild donkeys quench their thirst.The birds of the sky nest by the waters; they sing among the branches. He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.
Yeah Mary wasn’t raped she wasn’t abused she didn’t really have any sorrows most women have gone through more evil than her it’s not fair where are blessings God
@theresponsory335910 ай бұрын
Do you need her to experience all of these things in order to love her? Knowing that God loves her isn't enough? Knowing that she loves you isn't enough? I appreciate that it's difficult, but it is best not to consider the Mother of God as an equal, as that encourages a competitive-mindset. She is offered by God as an intercessor for humanity. If you continue to struggle with animosity towards Mary, I would pray to God to ask Him to open your heart to genuine affection for His mother, His creation, who wants only to draw you closer to Him.
