The safest approach I feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.

The key to achieving substantial returns isn’t chasing big-moving stocks; it’s about managing risk relative to reward. Position sizing is crucial, and consistently applying your edge as often as needed to reach your goals. This principle applies to everything from long-term investing to day trading.

I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, I didn't do all this alone, but with the help of a financial advisor. Having one is currently the best way to trade in the stock market, especially for people nearing retirement.

The whole system is deeply embedded with legal corruption, systematic greed, and self-interest. Taxes will never go down for the common man; but definitely will for the corps. The cost of tariffs will ultimately fall on the consumer. Prices will never come down. Industry will never return; if some does, it will be automated, and only benefit the people at the top of corps...not any workers. AI and automation will replace 90% of workers. Inflation is the main solution to national debt; which is now: 35 trillion, and growing by 2 trillion per year.( $400,000 for every taxpayer) Interest alone on the national debt will soon be the largest govt expense. Bitcoin is nothing, propped up by a few companies artificially creating demand; and, it is already diluted by unlimited other crypto coins.(carnival tokens) MSTR, MARA etc, are ponzi schemes: artificially inflating the price of bitcoin by purchasing at any price, with the use of 3x leveraged debt. They are about to get hit with a huge tax bills; and because they have only debt, and no money, they will have to dump a bunch of bitcoin to pay them; flooding the market, and tanking the price. Take profit now and consider yourself a lottery winner. MSTR has intrinsic value: $6.83, and is overvalued 98%... a house of cards. Bitcoin is inefficient, inconvenient, illiquid, easily lost, not universally accepted (not even by Tesla), and, easily replaced. No government will replace their currency with an outside money source. If they decide to go to a stablecoin, they will make their own coin... nullifying Bitcoin. 3 companies own and control 88% of the equities market. 90% of trading is done by algorithms, and controlled by 10%. .The market is rigged. The retail trader is easily influenced by the media... which those same companies happen to own also. The same 3 companies own more than 30% of RE; and are trying to buy it all with their unlimited buying power. Gov't spending is out of control, and will get worse. The debt will fall on the last of the shrunken middle class, and, growing lower class... our children and grandchildren. More than half of the country is on welfare, meaning: they receive free: money, housing, healthcare, food, transport, etc. The suckers in the middle pay for the freeloaders and the wealthy. The scales. have been tipped too far, with most legislation in favor of those who bribe the govt...sorry, lobby. Our gov't works for the corps only. Almost everything is majority owned by a few holding companies. Corporations consider labor cost to be, just another factor to be minimized, in order to maximize profits. The Feds books are cooked, and don't account for the most influential factors... also, are always quietly revised later. Traditional means of wealth building are now traps, set to move wealth from the common people, to the few. Most millionaires in this country were made through real estate investing. With the changes and restrictions in lending practices, after 2008, in the name of protection; now, it is nearly impossible for the common man to compete. Where is the American Democracy that we grew up with? It no longer exists. We live in a Corporate Oligarchy. This is reality... what are the solutions ?
