The Devil went down to Georgia, Johnny wasn't there but Neil was banging skins. The devil knew he couldn't compete and laid down his soul at Neil Peart's feet

I miss the days when Record companies allowed the artist to record "real music". How BLESSED we were to witness the talents of greats like Neal and others.

Neal was the best of all human kind and his loss has taken away that piece though our love of his talent reminds us that he was worth every minute. And I for one was honored to get to see him live. Talk about humbling. :)

this shows what the drummer is actually doing in a song...thinking, concentrating and listening-making sure 'his' part is done correctly for the song...in a 3 piece band on many songs --there is no margin of error...each concert then proves exhausting..loving what you do-but knowing the challenges in articulating the experience of drumming to the ears of the audience...mainly,its not always 'fun' its work--but, work that you enjoy!!

I just watched this for the,who knows how may time and I just noticed his shoes. They look like dress shoes.Hard soled dress shoes.Unbelievable.what a CLASS ACT. I have to wear chucks when I play.Or barefoot.I can't imagine wearing dress shoes.

The only reason I can think of for GOD taking Neil home is,GOD was starting a band and needed the best drummer ever so he had to have Neil. After all,GOD deserves the BEST.

Quintessential Rush. Although overshadowed by other great songs in their catalogue nothing is more Rush than Subdivisions. For me and probably very few others.

A long-lost friend of mine back in 76 who was a drummer when we were teens came over with the Caress of Steel album and said you have to listen to this drummer. I was blown away and have been a fan of Neil and Rush since then. Saw them in concert in 77 and the last 40 tour. They sounded better than ever! I still have that same album that my friend left with me back then. It's cherished. RIP Mike my old friend and RIP Neil Peart.
