Looks great! What did you use for the light lens under the screen? Could you give the dimensions of the triangle base?
@robinkyrke
@robinkyrke 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The kit came with a rectangular piece of clear Lexan or plexiglass and I illuminated it with a 3-LED segment of LED tape. I painted over the LEDs with transparent orange paint. The base is roughly 11 x 12.75 x 12.75 inches around the bottom.

Did you take video of the last court of Rhys and Gwen and the coronation of Hrodir Bek and Yehudah Khagan?
@robinkyrke
@robinkyrke 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did but because of technical issues I did not post the entire courts. I did post the last part of the evening court when all of the speeches were made by the visiting dignitaries and the new Khagan and Bek. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2iTc4VuaMajqqM

If you have set up CSWeapons for your Airwolf, there is a file in the Airwolf folder called, "CSWeapon.xml". You can open this file with Notepad and edit the weapon positions. For example: <Weapon> <Gun>Hydra 70</Gun> <Shell>Hydra 70</Shell> <Unlimited>1</Unlimited> <Station name="Nose" params="0,1,-0.55,0,-0.010,0,30" /> <Mode name="AUTO" setshots="0" shotrate="30" sequence="1" reset="0" /> <Mode name="X4" setshots="4" shotrate="30" sequence="1" reset="0" /> <Mode name="1+4" setshots="2" shotrate="15" sequence="1" reset="0" /> <Mode name="2+3" setshots="2" shotrate="15" sequence="1" reset="0" /> <DefaultMode>AUTO</DefaultMode> The numbers in the line for Station name="Nose" refer to the position on the aircraft where the missiles and rockets originate on the Airwolf model. <Station name="LeftWingInner" params="-2,0,0,0,-0.010,0,1200" /> <Station name="RightWingInner" params="2,0,0,0,-0.010,0,1200" /> These are the numbers that I used for all of the weapons that originate in the machine gun pods on each side of Airwolf. It is important to note that these numbers will only work with the AirwolfprojectX model and with the Captain Sim Weapons addon. You must also be sure to set up these numbers for each weapon type used in the xml file. Hope this helps!

The CSWeapon addon should have included a manual in pdf format that should get you going. Check your Captain Sim folder.

A few questions for you.... Have you added Airwolf to your FSX? Have you installed CSWEAPONS to FSX? And have you used the csloader. exe program to install the weapons to Airwolf?

+Paulo Pê Costa Unfortunately, this Airwolf model was produced by Airwolfprojectx and the website is no longer functional. At this time, I am not sure where you might be able to download this version. A shame really as I thought this model was the best looking and most faithful to the original Lady!

What a cool phaser. I've never seen one of these. Does this predate l.e.d.s? Thanks a lot for sharing.
@robinkyrke
@robinkyrke 9 жыл бұрын
This phaser was built in 1979, well before LED's came into use. The builder used an electronic camera flash strobe tube in the emitter for the light effects. Be sure to check out my other video that shows this phaser fully restored to mint condition!

Unfortunately the gentleman who restored mine has stopped taking commissions for this kind of work...for now. I am not sure if he will take on any other work later but he does frequent the forums on the Trek Prop Zone website. I would suggest seeking membership to the forums there and watch for any announcements. Also, the restoration of my phaser was very well documented in a couple of threads there with LOTS of pictures. If you read through those, you may very well find a lot of info to help you restore it yourself.

Awesome phaser. I always wanted one of those BN classics. Where did you score it at? Looks like the diamond pattern tape on top of the hand phaser was replaced. Don't recal Brad ever using that pattern on any of his phasers. His tape was always rainbow reflective or the crome ribbed tape on all his Phase II phasers. Thanks for sharing!

I purchased this about 34 years ago directly from Bradley Nelson and I have owned it since then. This phaser has been damaged a number of times over the years. The last time that it was dropped and damaged, I had a friend repair it. He did a great job fixing it up and he repainted it and changed the "crispy" so that it would resemble a "real" phaser. I am currently looking at having it restored to near "mint" condition.

I would have given my Soul, my voice what have you to witness this...... I was part of the Garrick crowd in Winnipeg Manitoba to see the movie explode into pop culture in '74 ... it was an experience I knew was special but didn't realize it until almost 40 years later that it had become this... seeing all the fans younger and older keeping it alive.....

@MrJocko1991 The Rod.com phasers are of excellent quality! The built props are made by the same propmakers that provided the props for many Star Trek productions, including DS9's "Trials and Tribbulations". I am sure that you will be pleased with your purchase!
