These were beautiful cars, I owned a 1973 280 SE 4.5 in the mid-80's with every conceivable option, including a sunroof and radar detector. The color was burgundy with palomino leather. These cars really needed to be driven long distances. As you mention they are compatible with today's traffic patterns - more so when it comes to acceleration into traffic. I ran premium unleaded gasoline (95 octane). Like your car, the speedometer tended to be over stated... it appears by 10-12 MPH in this case. The engine's degree of torque was amazing - you could almost stop the car by easing off the gas pedal. Today, I would be honestly be afraid to own one and really drive it properly due to the scarcity of replacement part$ and the limited amount of qualified mechanics. This was the era when Mercedes-Benz were "Engineered Like no Other Car in The World".

Beautiful vehicle. I used to drive the "L" version of this car (old girlfriend's mother's daily driver) 44 years ago. What a high-speed road hugging vehicle.

The 280 SE Coupe was one of the most beautiful vehicles ever built. BTW, the right windshield wiper is off by 2 or 3 teeth. They are supposed to be about 1/4 inch apart at the stow position.

That is a beautiful car! Gotta love the lines of the mid 1950's Porches! Respects to the owner(s) for driving the car at least a little bit. If you're going to build a replica car just to look at..... You'll find a plastic model kit serves the same purpose and costs tens of thousands of dollars less.

definitely does not have a P30 package. The absence of carbon fiber in the interior is a dead giveaway

Not Citroen, Mercedes-Benz engineering. It does have a reservoir with pressure to work with the engine off. But the main pump is belt driven.
