As I watch a few SAS stories it’s amazing how much weather fucks things up. A simple thing like wrong clothing can jeopardise an entire mission. Sorry chaps but that is bad planning.

And for those that don't know and who wouldnt think so ,one of the nine men who served in the SAS in Oman ,came from the catering corp,so yes he was a cook but a hard ass cook who passed SAS selection and made sure the lads ate well.

On a school trip to London, some of us made our way to Princes Gate and took photos hanging on to the padlocked front door. I remember looking into the charred hallway and wishing we could go in. I wish I still had that photo. I still treasure the photos I took in Gibraltar around the Shell station after Operation Flavius.

Thats cos i served an served in British SF! This lad is Yorky!! Talking about gulfwar in 91" an his patroll getting bumped" i was in that patrol with him!!! It’s fascinating how this training is mostly mental instead of physical. (The mental state will translate to the physical and explains why people quit). They will break you and it shows in this documentary…

I tried selection in 1999, I didn’t finish the first four week hill phase due to injury. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I would have passed anyway But the initial part is bullshit. They don’t shout at you, they don’t give you press ups and they barely talk to you. You’re at the end of the day, a volunteer. They expect you to fail but don’t want you too. There’s no words of encouragement or belittling.

In Afghanistan the Navy seals put a sign up.... 2nd to no-one.... a few meters down camp the SAS had a sign saying.......no-one 😂🇬🇧
