Wow thank you! My acoustic will go into the para then I’ll have a tuner, atmosphere pedal, and then the cloudburst. My guitar right now I believe has a kk pickup so no volume and tone knob but I can change it with the anthem if that helps me. I tried just the cloudburst but it wasn’t working. Do I need a y cable?
@BradDollar
@BradDollar 4 күн бұрын
@@gabrieladdenbrooke1964 Nice setup! Yes, exactly, you need a Y cable. This roland or Hosa below would work great: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RCC10TR28V2--roland-rcc-10-tr28v2-black-series-1-4-inch-trs-male-to-dual-1-4-inch-ts-male-insert-splitter-cable-10-foot www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/STP201--hosa-stp-201-insert-cable-1-4-inch-trs-to-dual-1-4-inch-ts-3-foot This way, you would go Guitar -> Para input -> FX loop Y cable Tip (send) into the first pedal -> chain all your pedals together -> last pedal output gets the Ring (return) fx loop y cable. Then your Para DI output, both the 1/4" and the XLR will have the FX in it. Give that a shot and let me know if it works!

Annoyingly you did a great job of explaining Phasers (Better than so many others!), but you put the diagram of a Flanger during it. Phaser doesn't use Delay (That's Flanging), it uses All-Pass Filters to adjust phase. It's the distinction between the two.

@@BradDollar right on, thank you! I just recently bought a mesa... 2003 triple rectifier. Im struggling with getting a good tone out of it. How do you have yours set up? Fx loop on or bypassed? If on, what setting do you use for the send dial on back? Thanks!
@BradDollar
@BradDollar Ай бұрын
@@Adambobrothat’s a great amp! Tone wise, I would set everything at noon on each channel in whatever mode you like and just play with the relationship of Gain + Master + Output volume. Getting everything in a good place is essential for it to do the thing. The triple rec also needs more volume to cook than you’d expect. So open it up and I know you’ll find a tone you love. For the fx loop, honestly, I don’t run anything through it. It never sounds right to me, so I hit everything into the front end. I will say - adding a TC electronics buffer at the end before going into the amp helps A LOT. Maybe I’m just making that up in my head but it was a small unlock for sure.
@Adambobro
@Adambobro Ай бұрын
@BradDollar And that is where my troubles start... I use a delay and chorus for my lead tones, and with the delay up front with loop bypassed, it sounds awful like my amp is completely choking off the tone... Im using a boss DD5 digital delay and an mxr black label chorus... is it the fact of being a digital vs analog delay as to the problem?
@Adambobro
@Adambobro Ай бұрын
@BradDollar also, the fx loop I had modded from parralel to series... i read nothing but horror stories about parralel loops, and I could not use it to save my life. When you said controls at noon, does that include the send fx knob as well? Do you have your loop bypassed, or just on and dont use it? On my amp, if I bypass loop, it kills the output and boost knobs on front of amp, so channel master is only volume control

This is nice, but using your die die box as a comparison to the ease of building acoustic panels is just sad. Anyone can build an acoustic panel with the correct list of tools, which is very basic. I built my panels with fire wool and spent 1/3 of the price that you did, ordering them from OC. I can only assume that most people viewing this video are looking for more cost-effective methods. What is even more exciting about building your own panels is that you can literally choose any fabric design that you please and shape them however you please.... which makes it so much more enjoyable and easy to costumize your work space!
@BradDollar
@BradDollar Ай бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! Maybe sad, but it’s honest 😂. I hear what you’re saying but seriously, I’m not one of those people who gets joy out of building physical things - it’s actually kind of stressful. And wasteful of materials & money if you don’t know what you’re doing. I also really appreciate craftsmanship of others and it inspires confidence in me when I have things that are well built by pros. And at the end of the day, I’d rather put my time into creating music, not acoustic materials. Great to have you here!

I’m going for clean (no breakup) so usually aim for all green and yellow on the meter, no red. I have an LR Baggs IBeam in my Collings CJ that is very low output, so I have to dime the PADI “volume” dial to get there. Whereas the K&K Pure Mini (passive) in my Collings OM2HG pumps out a very strong signal that does not not need much boost so I set the Volume about 12:00. The PADI makes my Collings UT-2 ukulele (undersaddle LR Baggs pickup) sound warm and even. It takes awhile to get used to the EQ and notch filter knobs but they are very powerful and effective. I tell folks, “ Don’t be afraid to turn the knobs” and “Use your ears” 😂 Presets are just a starting point, they always need tweaking. 😉

What up man! Great question! I'm pretty sure that will work. It won't subdivide the choir into sections, but it will give you a lead vocal and the choir as backing vocals.
