Hi, What is the fixing kit part number of the Abba stand please. I've contacted several suppliers who say they can't supply anything below 2017. Thanks in advance.
@TheAmateurBikeBuilderАй бұрын
Hi, the main kit i bought was for my Hayabusa, later i bought a paddock stand kit, part number was 04E4B-3B, which fitted into the Z650 pivot bolt hole perfectly to allow me to raise it up, but cannot have swingarm attached, also a combination of the 2 kits worked for my ST1100 as well, but ABBA do not do kits for either a Z650 or ST1100, with the Z650 swingarm on i just used the cups that hold the different size adapters, they sat over the pivot bolt and nut, but a i found out use with caution and do not raise the bike to high, as mine fell off, which was my fault entirely.
@NickSmith-o8rАй бұрын
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder Thanks. Having spoken directly to Abba I've bought the stand & fixings which will fit onto the bolt head (22mm) & nut (24mm) securing the swing arm. Just need to get the back wheel off the ground to make working on the back end easier. I took the centre stand off completely as it was pretty useless & ~5KG of rust. Thanks again for getting back to me.

Have you done also some better sealing of the airbox ends that connect to the air ducts? Because the factory foam at the ends was a weird design by suzuki because its falling apart from age and even new it doesn't looked like it could be very airtight

Great video. A little suggestion though. The old oil drains better when you remove the filling cap before draining. Like with cars. I always remove the oil filling cap as well as lift the dipstick (if there is one) in order to get rid of back pressure and let free flow of air.

It's important on the ABS/TCS ST1100 to use genuine Honda rear brake pads. Yes aftermarket can fit but they are not as thick as genuine Honda, hence the pistons protrude too far and are exposed to the elements - then they corrode & seize.

Just came across your Chanel mate there’s one thing you forgot to do when you stripped down the calliper you forgot to take out the dust seal ring that fits where the piston goes you painted it the dust seal goes around it then you tap it back in place when you’ve put the piston In good vid mate

Hello Keith looking forward to seeing how the Varadero turns out. I wounder if you could help me with a problem I have with my 1999 Varadero. I did contact another KZbinr a while ago to ask his opinion & he tried to help me but it sadly didn't work & just wanted to see if you have any ideas. My problem is, my indicators are very slow to come on. In the warm weather they are fine but in the cold weather they could take 5 minutes before they start...I was told to change the relay which I did & I've also changed the bulbs but I have the same problem. In the warm they're fine but in the cold weather they take forever to come on. Could it be old wiring that's the problem ??? Hope you don't mind me asking & would be greatfull for any advice 👍
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder3 ай бұрын
Hi, i had heard of this before, never experienced it though, first would be the flasher relay as you have all ready done, then a long and slow process of checking each indicator wire and its connection as this can sometimes cause an issue and checking the indicator grounds make sure they are clean, other than that not really much i can suggest
@Nick-vk2fw3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your help Keith. The one thing I didn't think of was the earth's on the indicators so I'll give it a go 👍
