About Detroit vinyl box set, it's the bottom of the worse, thin vinyl LPs not even remotely 180 grams, transferred from the digital master made for CD 25 years ago, horrible piece of paper xeroxed from the CDs box set. Not to mention the bore of changing for eight times the discs, totally destroying the stream of consciousness of listening to the concert. CDs are billions of times better on everything. This is the last time I buy a Doors release on vinyl. I already luckily skipped the Matrix horrible sounding vinyl box set from past year, this Detroit is just the end, I'm done with rip-off releases. From now on, only Doors CDs for me, it's really ridiculous to waste money on something worse than a bootleg, made with zero care. Well, see you soon my friend, I send you a big hug!!!

@@AlexandrosRaXVIII Mmmmm .. Your opinion is the missing piece of the puzzle in my mind. I'll make it clear that I'm still waiting for the box, but your review is the same as what I've read so far. Most people write what you told me too, my friend. Stay away, never again, no money at Rhino for vinyl, prefer CDs etc. One of my biggest disappointments was when I bought the London Fog box set a few years ago. Great recording and a must have for fans, but way to expensive (price/quality is a little overdone). On the other hand, at some point, romantic fans (like us) start to ignore them. It's our fault too, the more we feed them with our money, the more greedy we make them. That's how companies work. They want the money machine to work non-stop and be constantly full. I'll end the topic here, let's talk about music now. I want your opinion on old bootlegs lp or cd regarding the Matrix I imagine THE COMPLETE MATRIX CLUB TAPES 4 CD Box (Kiss The Stone) would be ideal, although I have the triple vinyl from The Swingin' Pig Records which is incomplete. And finally for the 80s releases about A Closed Door Is Opened lp ,Singing The Blues lp, Singing The Blues lp (Vol. 2) These are a few from me my friend sorry for the big message.. I hope it wasn't annoying and let's not forget Money Beats Soul everytime..!!

About Matrix my suggestion is to buy the 4 CDs Kiss the stone box set and the 3 CDs official version from 2024 at a cheap price, I don't see any other solution if you want the whole thing about Matrix. About London fog box set, it was much better compared to recent releases, at least the package was prepared with care, artistry and love, even if the recording was very short and overpriced. But Detroit, Matrix and LA Woman official vinyl box sets are just money grabbing with zero love, just vinyl fashion of money sucking. Stockholm was a bit better although with some flaws. Finally about old bootlegs Closed door opened, Singing the blues etc, I really don't see anything interesting about them, except if someone only wants a collection of old vinyl bootlegs. @@coily7776 Hello buddy, happy new year! I have an update about Detroit: it's worse than expected. I listened again carefully and it's actually a direct transfer from the CDs, it's not from the digital master. If you listen before Carol you'll hear the tuning of the instruments, then a total silence for some seconds, then again the exact same tuning of the instruments: that's exactly what you hear when changing the first CD to the second one. They just copied on vinyl the exact CDs from 25 years ago, because if it was the master then there would have not been any repeated tuning with a total silence in between. A digital master is a continuum, it has no repetitions and black holes. This Live in Detroit 70 RDS is worse than a cheap bootleg.

@@AlexandrosRaXVIII Hello Alex, my only (real) friend here, happy new year! I haven't received the box set yet, that's why I wanted your opinion on this release. Whatever information I could gather, they said and wrote what you told me. A rip off of the 2000 cd. I'll probably cry the money I paid for this crook. In the future only cd, (it's a shame to pay a mountain of money for an unacceptable rip off) what you said too friend. Bakersfield by the way was very fair and I was pleased with it, as was Aquarius in the past (we're talking about vinyl.) I listened again and again to recordings of the audience from FF 70, Philadelphia 70, HB 68, IOW 70 and I enjoyed it until the end. These official releases are manipulated and slaughtered. I may be wrong, but..this is my opinion. For this reason I ask your opinion about 80s 90s bootlegs pal. I don't care if they are anachronistic nowadays. I don't want them to take up space in my collection, I want to listen to them..!!

It's not easy to find at all, unfortunately, never seen other microphones by Shure or Electro Voice using that type of connection, I don't even think it was by Amphenol.

Unfortunately for the lesser known concerts you mentioned, we don't have much about bootlegs, so whatever you find about Chicago 68, Danbury 67, Honolulu 70, Boston 68, Winterland 67, etc, pick up it only if the price is honest. Another solution is to find torrents with the seeds still alive, to download all those concerts in the best quality available from collectors who kindly made them available on Torrent download around 15-20 years ago. About Roadhouse blues vinyl bootleg: it's a copy of Bring out your dead; but: Roadhouse blues bootleg runs slower and Bring out your dead runs a bit faster, so none of them has the authentic speed and correct pitch, although Bring out your dead is anyway still better and more enjoyable, also more collectible and valuable, but again be careful to not get ripped off with excessive price.

About Vancouver 70 nothing beats the official release, that's the best you can listen to; but if you can find a double vinyl bootleg called Music is your only friend from 1990 (the first ever bootleg of Vancouver from which all following bootlegs where sourced), it has the original monophonic radio broadcast with different sound (but obviously incomplete and with some songs edited for the radio). One hundred minutes instead comes from a mediocre cassette tape copy of Vince Treanor's master, it's acceptably good (inferior to the official release) but obviously the most interesting thing is the cartoon cover and the collectible value. It has also a couple of nice bonus tracks.

If you found that CD of Seattle (not the CDR rip-off but the original complete one) then you have the real definitive thing. About Seattle on vinyl, unfortunately I don't know any good edition also because the complete concert is more than 85 minutes: very hard to fit that length on the four sides of two vinyls (you could only by cutting many long songs and jams into pieces and that would sound horrible). About Celebration double vinyl old bootleg from the 80s, it has in bad quality the demos 1965 and a couple of songs from Dallas 70, Chicago 68 and something else, but nothing really interesting for our days standard, except for collectors of bootlegs. About Bring out your dead it's a legendary bootleg, so I absolutely recommend it!! Then about Felt Forum I suggest the CD Do you wanna have fun tonight and If it ain't one thing it's another vinyl triple (also for Dallas 70).
