How did you clean the throttlebody? They said do not open the flaps because it’s electronic and will mess up the timing so we need to know how you cleaned it.

Pulled the hub assembly on my 2011 to replace the lower ball joint and wheel bearing and could not get that sensor out it finally broke and I tried to drift it out from the inside after removing the bearing but still would not move so I finally had to drill it out and that little plug in fastener and this car has only 68K its been sitting for 6 years, never had one so frozen I was surprised the bolt for it came out easy. Got any tips on removing ones that are frozen in without them breaking.

Did you disconnect the battery before replacing the etc or does it even matter? The reason i asked because i dont know if it's necessary to do it.

my abs kicks on and the i only get abs and traction light. switched out the speed sensor and nothing yet. thinking might have to change out the abs tone ring. also not sure how to acquire that part.

My 2014 dodge avenger is doing this . I can still stop . My dashboard lights tend to dim a little and then the abs light, break light and transaction control comes on and only the transaction control stays on then go off by itself. I’ve replaced the break switch and it’s still doing the same thing . I think I might have to replace the wheel speed sensor as well hopefully that will help.

i have a 2013 Dodge avenger my car, the car works perfect somedays but sometimes it just shuts off out of nowhere while driving, and then it cranks but wont start i have to wait about 5 to 10min then it wont go faster than 20mph. the following day the car work perfectly, i have changed the crankshaft sensor and I still randomly get that issue, do think i need to replace my ETC? any advice will help. thanks

I know I’m hear late but I have a 08 avenger and I replaced the throttle but the light still coming on what should I do ?

So I'm having the same issue with my car. I completely took it out and cleaned it completely like everything the air box, the air intake tube everything to make sure nothing was getting in there. put it all back and it's still giving me the same issue. When I turn the car on it shuts down in a few minutes or after I start hitting the gas. Did you have those same symptoms? I never have trouble with my rpms but I do sometimes it'll jerk when I hit the gas or just die and come back immediately while driving. Not sure if that sounds familiar. I was never given a code on my car so It's hard to pinpoint the actual problem

I have 2012 avenger 4cylinder. My issue is having 0171 code ONLY. It's been on for about 15k miles. I have run scan and everything looks good except for my long trim is about 32. I've done all the trouble shooting but now it won't turn over with lightning bolt. My question is I thought throttle would throw its own code. Did yours?
