Are there multiple batches of this and/or different versions or something like that? I have seen reviews of this Ironroot harbinger in ~122P & a Hazmat 140+ & they all just called it "Ironroot harbinger" with no batch#, release date or anyway to identify the different versions of this.

Just picked up EHT SB with Dickel bundle for $109… I’ll take it.

Nose is great, taste is just ok. Bitter, hot and spicy. Disappointed

Thank you for the review! Interesting note, the original mash bill was lost over the years the distillery was closed. When Jim Beam acquired the brand, it only came with the name and they sent out a team to Pennsylvania to investigate the history and find the original mash bill!! The only thing that’s completely gone is the yeast strain Abraham Overholt used to use!

It is always good to let George Dickel products air out for awhile before nosing and tasting. The difference is amazing.

I missed it live but watched it later. Once in awhile Saturday nights are date nights. People don't realize that everyone should do what you're doing. Last October I did a 'Sober October' just to see if I could do it. Then did a 'Dry January'. I don't tell you this to show off or pat myself on the back but sometimes you've got to take a break. We are literally drinking what our body considers poison. I have the luxury of putting controls in place that you as a WhiskeyTuber would struggle to do because of filming content. I only drink whisky after dinner. I only have two shelves that I use for storage of whisky(45-50 bottles). I have a three drink maximum(there are exceptions but those are for special occasions like weddings or parties so 2-3 times per year) I am not saying this is a fool proof way of controlling my consumption but it works for me. I found that after the first week I lost any cravings my mind and body told me I had for it. It wasn't until the very end of the month the 2nd last day that I tried to make an excuse to end it a day early. I told myself that I'll end it a day early and take a day off next month. It's funny how your brain tries to justify your actions. I wish you good luck with your challenge. God knows we could all use a few pounds lost and a clearer mind. Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. BTW Canadian Thanksgiving is in October if you feel you've reached your goal(see how your brain tries to justify). I'll look for your Saturday night stream but if you take a break from those that's cool too.

If you ever get the chance to make it to Weston Missouri, you should tour the Holliday Distillery. They are doing it right, original limestone springs, open 5000 ga cooking pots, original 1800's recipe, they do it all, the right way.

This summer 5 of us old deer hunters did a blind of BH bib up at my northern mi deer camp against EW , Old Tub, JW Dant and ET bib 's . Only 1 picked it #1 , the other 4 picked it # 4-5 I Was surprised to say the least as it is a $60 bottle. Cheers 🥃 👍

Japanese whiskey is a cross between Irish and Scotch for me. I get light and fruity on the front and malty on the back. Hibiki has the best bottle in the game. Enjoy

Interesting bottle

I saw the 100 proofer at Meijer and passed on it in favour of the Traverse City Whiskey Co barrel strength wheat. I figured if I went to a Detroit Lions or Detroit Tigers game I would stop by the distillery or their bar and pick one up. I'll keep an eye out. Where did you pick it up?
