Most who can easily see the absurdity of humanity, will search for things to hide within. I am 5 years sober now, but I still struggle to accept the inadequacy of humanity's empathy as a whole. I will never turn back to drink and drugs, but I shall never cast judgement when one cannot escape the hell they've created and thrive in.

We , understanding we are going to die, is exactly why we are not close. Or, rather, what sometimes drives us apart. We fear the unknown. You'd think he'd use a bit of common logic with this line.
@antiquesandlearningtolive4369
@antiquesandlearningtolive4369 2 жыл бұрын
You missed the point. The fact we are all going to die means we should huddle together to push this inevitability as far as humanity and science can. Humans need not despise one-another over foolishness like fear. What is to fear when we know it all ends? Even our entire universe will die in an immensity of time incomprehensible in our little island of time. Perhaps our goal should be to cooperate and appreciate this small shimmering oasis that many of us can't be bothered to stop and see. It is scary to try and love people you don't know, but fear is no excuse to never try. That is the broad vision I saw when I heard that quote.
