There is a better trimmer head available: EGO AH1530 Rapid Reload head. It is a bump feed head that you don't have to take apart to reload. It can use the .095 line. I installed one on mine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXPCkHuNp7-rqLM

Ok this video was produced over 2 years ago and hopefully you will see and answer my question. I’m looking for an inexpensive blower to dry my vehicles after washing in the driveway. Do you think that this blower would hold up to the job of blowing water from my vehicle after washing it?
@Tom-x3m9g8 ай бұрын
You can't expect much for 20 volt battery, I like all my Bauer tools but if you want big power l would go with ego 56 volt blower.

Thanks for the review, I have the same model a big improvement over the first Kobalt trimmer that I returned to Lowes about two years ago, I understand the issue with the shaft alignment, I was concerned about stripping the threading on screws or even worse the shaft because of a slight miss-alignment that could cause this to happen, I had to work with the two sections by reluctantly clamping the two section in a vice to get a better whole alignment and finally got the two sections to line up.
@dirtandsoul2081 Жыл бұрын
Haha, that sounds rough. Definitely an improvement.

A leaf rake would be more efficient for the purpose in the video. This blower works best on dry leaves on hard surfaces like driveways, porches, patios etc. Or stoking a bonfire.

Here in southern New Mexico definitely makes a difference. Have never done a temp check but okra and pepper plant don’t wilt in the 100*+/10% humidity. Plus a hot dry summer breeze usually stresses my plants. I use a 50% UV block and the leaves look great at the end of the day.

I nearly broke mine trying to straighten out the shaft to put the bolts in. Holes were and still are way off. Also had to wrap some duct tape around where the handle mounts to keep it from sliding around. Other than that, it's worked beautifully.

Honesty... doesnt surprise me! Also the mechanism for taking off and putting on the spool, seems very clunky.

Have you placed a thermometer under the shade cloth to determine the difference the cloth makes?

Unfortunately i have not! I can see the difference with my plants "how much they need to watered and the wilting", also its just feels so much more nice under there!

How long does it take to charge the battery?
@dirtandsoul20812 жыл бұрын
Depends on which battery and charger you have. Rapid charger 1.5ah could be an hour. Slow charger on the 5ah could be 5hours.
@mikeingeorgia12 жыл бұрын
@@dirtandsoul2081 , Harbor Freight has a sale going on this weekend so I decided I’d try one out. I got the slow charger and the 3 AH battery. I’m using it to clear off a 100’ driveway, about 40’ of sidewalk, a front porch and a back patio that are all concrete, and then I cleared off a camper, a boat and a shooting platform. I started my stopwatch and got after it. I ran it for about 15 1/2 minutes, about 13 of which were on setting 1. The battery still has 2 lights left lit. It seems like it’ll work fine for me anyway.
@johnf.69422 жыл бұрын
Is it noticeably Better than the Harbor freight trimmer ? Battery and blade wise ?
@dirtandsoul20812 жыл бұрын
I like the handles better on the kobalt. But, I don't think there was any difference in performance. The bauer was a little more metal on metal sounding, that's it though.

Been a long time , How’s the trimmer holding up ? Battery life ? Blade ?
@dirtandsoul20812 жыл бұрын
Honestly I was pretty happy with it. Lasted a very long time. Unfortunately since the blower wasn't great.. I returned all the bauer. Needed to invest in one line of outdoor tools to start.

@@dirtandsoul2081What I did was to purchase adapters for anything Bauer that I have so I can use all my Milwaukee M18 batteries, they work great 👍
@craftman56322 жыл бұрын
I like the cordless Bauer for blowing the lawn clippings off the street, driveway, and patio. I like the corded electric Toro leaf blower 140 mph 725 cfm. for wet leaves, pine needles and other heavy debris and it's about three times more powerful than the Bauer.
@dirtandsoul20812 жыл бұрын
For my driveway and pathways, bauer is prefect. Very underpowered for the pine needles and wet grass. Lol, I wouldn't mind cordless, my property would be a hassle with several extension cords though.
