Thank you Cory - later you changed that middle column wrapper to flexbox? Is that the solution you recommend?

Thanks for the tutorial. I'm considering to learn MAST, and it would be great to see more of that. Q: Why does margin and padding of a col work with px unit?

Thank you for sharing! I'm trying to learn more about MAST, so your videos have been fun to see you experiment with it!!

I have a question, why not just use quick stack to deal with the columns?

Having used Bootstrap for years in regular web development, this seems to actually be a much better fit for me then Client-first is in Webflow. Will give it a go. Thanks.

@@FlowmanDEV I work primarily with Relume but I’d like to learn Mast too. I learned a bunch just watching you work through the design process using mast and problem solving. So pretty much any section or page you build will be of value. You could always rebuild a golf site for content we both enjoy. Haha.

more advanced builds, maybe rebuilding an existing website but with MAST would be interesting!@@FlowmanDEV

@@FlowmanDEV would also be great to see how you go from Figma to Webflow so it looks identical when you go from design to dev in terms of sizing / layout
@brent37797 ай бұрын
basically how to implement col grid system in your figma design to make sure it looks the same when building the site

An interesting thing, Cory... when I'm working in Webflow I generally have a bit if a running commentary with myself about the 'hows and whys' of the build as I work things out, that actually sounds more than a little like your instructional and entertaining tutorial video! Only without benefit of the depth of experience that you have in MAST, and efficient development skills in general... at least not yet. 😉

I talk out loud to myself all the time when building. Great way to break through problems/decisions that arrive.

Great walk through Cory! Will you be posting more videos about how you use mast? Hope so!

Thanks, Emily! Yes, I plan to make more videos. Was thinking about doing shorter videos were I build sections of a landing page one at a time. Seems like a good place to start (or keep going lol).

Love this! I've been wondering about how to combine Relume components with the MAST framework. I'd love to see more videos on that topic!
@FlowmanDEV9 ай бұрын
Let's say I don't want to rebuild an entire accordion component. I will paste a Relume component inside my MAST column div and remove any classes I don't need (like the Relume spacing classes). Just don't forget to clear your unused classes.

have a great day and what?? haha thanks for the video!!, Im starting using MAST but the part I struggle is when to use CC classes vs u- classes, i end up adding 3 or 4 u classes and then i decide just to add an extra div with a custome class with a cc class. but i don't know when to do it or not, i will love to see a video you using the framework to see "the patterns" you use when styling the site. love your personal branding btw

A good rule of thumb when using utility or combo classes is when you end up needing more than two, just make a custom class. Also, avoid using combo classes on top of utility classes.
