People debate in the comments why this was a bombed set vs a great set. We gotta stop looking at this as either or. This, is something every comedian needs to study. This wasn’t perfect, but thats why it’s necessary to study. Patrice knew what kind of person he is, was, what everyone is truly like fundamentally, and thats the kind of thing a comedian needs to study about themselves. Patrice clearly had great material in this set, regardless of this crowd. What makes this set so important and impressive for Comedy, isnt Patrice’s confidence in the set, but the confidence to keep moving forward regardless of the outcome of the set. And I believe alot of Patrice’s philosophy lived in being his own person, and how much and how far he could take those limits of Comedy without having to compromise The Self. This is a true experience.

That was great! I love Jim, he is by far my favorite active comedian...I saw him this past Saturday in Austin! I would follow him around like the greatfull dead if I had the money. I had such a good time in Austin I celebrated by sleeeping on the floor (ok...I got a little drunk) but still had a great time. This video was awesome.
