Thank you. Love videos of southern Indiana. My people all live in the area. My great grandparents lived in the area they flooded for the lake. They moved to Paoli.

It's so weird that the road still exists under the lake. Question: if the lake is low, do boats hit the old road or get stuck?
@brandosadventure Жыл бұрын
I say probably has but I'm not too sure.

Amazing! I lived in neighboring Harrison County when Patoka Lake was being developed. But when I was a kid in the late 60’s/early 70’s, the original plan was to put the lake up on western Floyd County, just past Floyd’s Knobs. I remember my Dad and Uncle going to a meeting to protest it. Must have worked because the lake ended up out in Crawford/Orange counties. Wherever they would have decided to put it, that lake sure changed Southern Indiana!

How do you find these graves, and how long does it take to find them in the cemetery?
@brandosadventure Жыл бұрын
Some of them are told to me by viewers, some I stumble across while looking for other graves, but most come from Find A Grave. Normally don't take me very long to find the grave but sometimes it can be a challenge

Very interesting Brandon! I grew up in Marengo! My mamaw worked at the variety store for years I spent a lot of time in there. And where you said the air conditioners look fairly new, the Masonic lodge owns that and still meet there twice a month. And I remember your uncles insurance office my parents had insurance there, they loved him and his wife. Across from the Marengo farm & home supply store used to be a restaurant, my sister worked there in high school. Thanks for this video, I enjoyed it!
