Dang how do you manage so much damage? I'm using a 99 strength Orpheus with pierce amp and boost and doing the pierce theurgy only manages 2500 at the most.

@hectormedina4782 From my own attempts, he casts Will of Rebellion when his health is about 60-65% or lower. But if you get him below 50% health before he casts Will of Rebellion, then he will use Diarahan.

@@Infinitrack_YGO Thank you very much bro, after more or less 20 hours of farming I already managed to beat joker, without you I wouldn't have been able to. On KZbin there are only strategies with dlc persona or magical mastery. I seriously hate this fight, mostly because I don't fully understand the altered status phase.

@@shade_7500 you need to own the item, dead moons husk to see it. Dead moons husk can be farmed by save scumming the green chest that spawns on floor 22 of the empyrean area.

Take Over plays for Heartless difficulty and Last Surprise plays for the other difficulties. Anything else is edits.

Does Fuuka's theurgy concentrate and charge count as rule broken at first turn?

@prome-chan1233 As far as I'm aware, the actual rule is that you can't charge/concentrate before his first move. But since on heartless, he gets to take his first action before you, you're free to charge/concentrate after that. So essentially, on heartless, you just can't enter the fight with equipment that has you auto-charged/concentrated. Also, I read on the lower difficulties that if Fuukas Theurgy does charge/concentrate before his first move, it doesn't count.

Well I tried this on heartless (not really seriously trying to beat it because I know it’s just typical Atlus bullcrap) and I used Oracle, which charged me and then I got sinful shelled. As far as I’m aware I broke no other rules. I also got sinful shelled after using any theurgy. I just don’t understand all the needless rules in this fight. Edit: never mind looked into it further and found yet another rule that Joker can’t have all his stats lowered… sigh, what a fun fight

I only used 2 personas for this run, which are shown at the end of this video along with the party's equipment. As far as party memeber personas used, the only thing to note that isn't really seen in the video, is I maxed out their magic and endurance.

That was super unfortunate and VERY LUCKY at the end since he just randomly chained 2 ailments on you and just broke the rules himself outside of your control.

Yeah I noticed in other attempts if the rule break occurs on his second or third attack, depending how many attacks he has at the time, that he won't Sinful Shell until the start of his next turn. Though I'm not sure why in the ailment phase after, apparently breaking the rule during the first wave of ailments, he bothered with more ailments instead of just going for Sinful Shell. As for actually getting past that phase without breaking the rule, I imagine Aigis would just need to run Null to 1 of the ailments from each phase.

Far from optimal, but we got it done! Thanks for watching! Things to note; - The 3 other party memebers were almost 99 magic/endurance. Just a couple of points shy. - I should have switched to my Pierce Persona for the Shadow Hound Theurgy. Would have made the ending not so tight. - This fight is incredibly RNG dependent. Even if I spent the time to max out everyones HP, there's still a good chance Joker will get to chain so many moves together that you still won't survive. - The final Sinful Shell in the video I never figured out if I reached the turn limit or how to avoid the rule break that causes him to do it. (Update- I saw Bainz video talking about it) If there's any questions I can help answer, feel free to leave them below!

I think he used Sinful Shell because one of your party members was immune to the status ailment he tried to inflict on all of you. That’s breaking the rules.

For a Final Fantasy, this game was really disapointing. Fun and all. But the only thing that has typical of FF is the OST. Not even the party matters. And the special moves breakes the game when you get Odin.

Bro's mad that Character Action game is not a turn based rpg. 'Typical FF' is an oxymoron, it's random and changes every time. if you want a typical jrpg that plays like OLD FF, go play octopath traveller. Square still make games like that, it's not like we've lost anything, instead we've gained something special.

@@ruiolavo2426 sorry for assuming, i read your take as: because not 'typical ff outside of ost' then game disappointing (lack of party as substance to this). any appeal to a 'typical ff' is still pretty strange. dunno how u think odin breaks the game though, by then odin's damage potential isn't too much greater than any other eikon and the restrictiveness of the gauge building gameplay is enough reason to use other options. Just surprised you think the story's bland, definitely not the first thing i'd expect, so forgive me if i didn't assume that's what you were talking about in the first place since it has nothing to do with anything else you wrote in the actual comment, so uh , yeah, that's what the hell i was talking about

@icarosro I know some earth machine builds use 1 Anchor drill, but I never used it in my build. Anchors' usefulness is too situational, and more often than not, I find myself wishing I had any other card in hand.

Why 2 citadel?

@shinyhntr4878 a few reasons. The main one is that it's easy to put 2 Citadel on the board through Megaform. 2 Citadel are threatening alone, but it also opens up our rank 10 plays. And can be a great extender play when going for lethal. Other reasons include having a second one to cycle through if one gets removed from play and also having easy cost to bring back Fortress on the follow up turns as you will tend to cycle through your high level monsters quickly.
