Yes it is a water bottle. My oil breather line has a catch can to capture some of the oil. I use that bottle to return the oil to the engine from the catch can.

It uses the rubber bands to power the mechanism. If there are no rubber bands and you try to pull the trigger, nothing will happen

your mate didn't turn the battery off, the alarm sound you heard was the low voltage warning because there is no power being fed back into the battery. when the engine is on, some of the power it creates is fed back into the battery, like a car alternator. try this: leave your plane on battery for a minute on APU, it shouldnt turn off ever, but then turn off the APU, the battery will run out.

I figured that out while editing this. If you look in the final frames the bat switch is in the on position. Next time i will have to try and get on the ground faster so that i dont lose flight controls like that

Are the sails linked a servo or motor to actually get provide thrust from any wind? The keel looks legit, Im assuming you have a rx/tx to get the rudder operational. So does it have a little prop? I'm into RC everything. Currently looking into the air foil type boats that also fly like a fixed wing. Looks awesome dude!

Yes it is radio controlled. There is a servo that trims the sails and another server for the rudder. There is also a small electric motor for emergency maneuvering.
