@1Him75 Select teams play mainly local (within the State). Elite play anywhere in the Nation. They're on another level.

@Musiq2Famous Sometimes they have tryouts for the younger teams (3rd-8th grade) but a lot of times they hand pick their players. They find you. Middle and High School games, tournaments etc.

Manu is #1 and on the other team #11 is his CP3 teammate that would wear different colored shoes? Been a while since I saw, looks like their hair has grown out too. I hope they have middle school ball for my son, I don't think in FL they do... oh well my son is only 3 months old now lol..

Different teams have different coaches or just running in a different league?

Correct on both. This is a different team (Carolina Stars) that he was just filling in for. They have their own coach. Beyond Limitations Hoops is actually our CP3BA team with our same coach. Our Spring season ended and some of the boys wanted to keep playing. Sometimes if he wants to run and we can get enough players but can't get a coach then parents will step in and help.

How many leagues you in? How many sessions throughout the year do you get to play? Also, any other smaller camps/clinics you attend? Just wondering for my son to attend, didn't know that a group would stick together till graduation it seems. Good luck to you

Thank you! His main team is CP3 Basketball Academy, he's played with them since 3rd Grade. He used to just play at the Y during CP3's off season when he was younger but now that he's getting older he wants to play at the same level as much as he can. Our team played a few tournaments last Summer for the first time so the boys could keep fit then he joined another team in the Winter (off season for CP3BA) for the same reason. The other tournaments have been just filling in like yesterday through other parents asking him to play. Not sure what area you're in but come out to CP3 Basketball Academy if you're local, they have clinics and camps all the time. Also Rise Sports Academy. This Summer we plan to travel for a few camps. ( Manu's Mom)

@@tina252 Awesome, thanks for the reply. It seems like he sure stays interested, and I hope he continues along with his teammates as well. I will most likely be moving to Orlando, FL by the time my son is of age to participate with teams. So, I have been poking around for leagues/training areas/parks/etc. Looks like there will be plenty of opportunities there. I will stay tuned for more games!
