People must be moronic if they have the audacity to accuse you of black face. One, it’s not hard to understand what black face ACTUALLY is. Two, all the examples you listed of what black face isn’t, is so obviously not black face! Oh my god, people are stupid.

Honest question, and before people bite my head off this was actually asked by a black person not me and I am genuinely curious to what your answers are. What does it mean to you when a black person embodies the stereotype of the Black-Face minstrel?

Simple. If someone’s painting their face black in a derogatory way, it’s blackface. This one woman got a lot of hate for doing face makeup to look like a popular black person on the internet, Kabe Lame (I don’t remember how to spell his name, sorry) and people were calling it blackface. All she did was face paint to look like him and did the hand gesture thing he always does. That isn’t blackface, it’s just imitating a person.

I think intentions matter a lot in these sorts of situations. Painting your face black is not “black face” in the cultural sense (as she talked about) unless you’re mocking others. Now why would you paint your face black? Idfk

Lost a friend who called me rascist and ghosted me over this. Thought if i wanted to cosplay a character (the character is basically like venom from marvel) and they said it was blackface so i broughts a lot of the points up that are here, and that even some cultures black makeup is beautiful and elegant, they ghosted my ass cus i thought theyd find that info interesting, fus we share facts and stuff lke that we usually get along finding things interesting history or why and such. They were my closest friend and honwstly i miss them but they were the one childish and immature about it. We could have talked past it.

When I was 12 I was in a play, and my character was a sheep. I was the “black sheep” of the family, so they painted my face and neck black part of my costume. I didn’t have red lips or anything, but I had multiple people comment that it was blackface. I felt so unbelievably guilty and ashamed, though it wasn’t even my choice. I legit spiraled and thought I was a terrible, racist person for that, for a long time.

@annabellelin77308 сағат бұрын
You're right! Being "lower class" doesn't necesarily make you racist. I think she was talking about the idea that rich white American landowners in the 1800s told poor white Americans that they were better than black people just for being white. So that way, the black former slaves (who were still poor) and the white indentured servants would be divided instead of joining forces and removing the white landowners from power. And this divide has continued throughout American history.

I saw a video that showed the trajectory of the shots in slow motion. The only reason that he's alive is that he slightly turned his head at the last second. Nobody would set themselves up to be murdered. If he got hit somewhere like an arm or a leg , I might believe it but not a headshot.
@AlphabetLicksКүн бұрын
@@nibbles2734 Well i get nobody is going to commission a hit on themselves but, having someone shoot near you, possibly with multiple blanks before real rounds. The guy was friends with Vince McMahon and could have learned to "get color". While i understand someone died and all. A lot of things don't add up and Trumps the first person i'd see pulling this. I mean nobody going to point the finger his way, there were casualties so its not "fake" and all blame is pushed across the aisle. May be one of those things we learn about 20yrs from now like we did with 9/11.
