That first guitar solo there is a thing of immense beauty. HIGHLY melodic, played with great touch, finesse, and with depth of feeling. The second, too, is wonderful. Such an underrated band.

Ted on lead vocals. And a great example of the band's trademark twin lead guitar format.

Sheer timeless genius in every way - highly melodic guitar playing, great rhythms, key changes, changes in tempo, great dynamic drumming. A timeless classic. I first heard this album in '72 when I was 13; my big sister's then boyfriend lent it me and I've been listening ever since to this band's positive energy.

52 years ago I was at boarding school in a provincial town Pietersburg, Transvaal, South Africa. Weird times to be sure, but we cherished the music we listened to as it was really the only honest connection to reality. Sadly: the world has made my world real and the countries where this sublime music emanated from - totally dystopian. Strange how I thought I would live in fascism here (pretty much communist), however, the rest of the world has become fascist and espousing "democracy" which they sadly have murdered. Thanks to the Democrat party in the US!?

"Rest In Peace" IMHO one of the most unique lead breaks ever recorded; Laurie Wisefield really is/was a superb guitarist...as is/was Andy Powell. Yep, a stinker of an album but this track is great, as is the closer "Say Goodbye" in regards to "Locked In". Thank God they followed this up with "New England".

A horribly under-rated band. They had a depth and musicality matched by few, if any. I'll never understand how they weren't huge in the U.S.

Martin Turner's bass sings ! When I was 18, all my friends were listening to Nirvana, Red hot C P, and I was listening to Wishbone Ash, unforgettable moments! I didn't miss a thing!

LOVE this album. Way back some 50 years ago back in high school daze jammed on my guitar relentlessly to all Wishbone ash. Saw them in Hialeah 1974. What a show !!! W.A. Mike Pinera, REO Speed Wagon. Frank Marino and mahogany Rush. $7.50

Arguably the best of all non-acoustic Wishbone Ash albums released since Number The Brave (1981).

This band is one of my favorite. I was a teenager when I listined to this music and I still have this album on my 30cm / 33rpm disk, like a lot of others from Wishbone Ash. I saw them in concert in Le Mans (France) and I was really excited !.

I was introduced to this album by a friend in high school about 1974 (gasp 😮). It's still just as good, or even better. I realize that Magnus, my friend, had a great taste in music. I remember now he was the drummer in a garage band. I hope you are well, man, wherever you are.

Quite simply one of the best songs ever written of any generation. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Wishbone Ash 20+ times over the years, incredible band but this for me amongst many brilliant songs is the best thing they’ve ever written…❤️
