hey Im building My own sub 1lb robot, and i have brushless drive as well, and I was wondering are your ESCs bi-directional (letting your wheels spin back wards), and what Type of control link do you run, because Im gonna be running ELRS on an Edge tx radio, and I was wondering what your mixes are, if you use a similar just PWM style receiver.

@@SpacemanFPV1 Hi, So yes of course my esc's are bidirectional, as there is no other way for the robot to turn or go backwards. I use FS2A reciever with fs-i6 transmitter and not elrs so I can't help with that.
@DrumBoticsКүн бұрын
@@SpacemanFPV1 So in this version I used blheli-s esc's, but they are not bought with an installed bi directional programe. You have to program it with arduino and chose the biderectional option, as they all come in one directional. This option worked, but for my newer 4th version I have bought Am32 esc's already programed specially made for brushless drive's and that I hope will give me better driving.

Two centimeters? That's very thick and you would have plenty of grip. I think you meant 2 milimeters and with that you would still have similar grip just that the tire will use up way faster, but the grip would be the same.

Im building a wedge right know and planned to use 30g per wheel. The weight class is 500g or where I life it’s the ant weight class. Do you also have tips on how manny walls are good/bad? And what kind of infill would be the best for these kind of wheels? I already build a horizontal spinner with TPU wheels which where ok and did the job but I wanna change the tier for the spinner too
@DrumBotics16 күн бұрын
@@Tecno_sth 30 grams per wheel is very heavy and in that case your rims could be easily printed with 100 infill. You can save some weight by making them 4 walls with 30 something infill and that would work. I'm using a hard plastic if my wheels would be placed on the motors shaft so that the wheel would be tightly mounted on the shaft. if it's by belt then tpu, soft nylon works the best.

Be aware that 150g is a less common class in the US, where 1lb is more common. The kit looks pretty solid, but you will face a much higher level of competition at an average US event than you see here, so your results may vary.
@DrumBotics16 күн бұрын
@ryanbratley6199 I understand your view. This competition was not packed and the robots were weaker sure. You can see some other videos I have fought against vertical spinners, big 200 gram drum spinners that are close to US level for sure. I have just competed in with the kit in another competition which had better robots and still it did fantastic. Do not underestimate it and Lithuanian robot fighting scene.
@ryanbratley619916 күн бұрын
@@DrumBotics I'm not underestimating the scene, just making what I feel is an important point to a seemingly new competitor about what they could expect to be similar or different about their own experience when compared to what's shown in this video. I haven't seen your other videos, and I have no way of knowing if they have either. I personally don't see winning as the main point of being in this sport, so results don't matter much to me either way, but what does matter is that the kit looks, as I said, solid and well put together.
