That-thaaat~ the first month or two into learning ASL, it connected my thinking and moving in ways I always needed but was oblivious, ASL strengthens me, interconnects me, it's an integral part of me now, it turns my emotion into ASL expression, which in turn becomes confidence, everything feeds everything else, my face is wet right now thinking about that~

I learn sign 33 months, and I've compiled in my channel list, dozens of ASL teachers, Deaf, Coda, interpreters. I suggest everyone who wants to get the right information into student's hands, should copy from my list the ones they think are best, put into their channel list, a grassroots effort. It's easy to complain about bad examples, but if you teach people where to find good examples, you'll be helping Hearing students avoid those bad channels where the Big KZbinr or TikTok "Teacher" who moves their lips more than their hands, do something about it by spreading the good obscure Deaf channels.

Would you have any recomendations for developers or researchers who might want to reach out to develop on some of the ideas you are suggesting but may want to have a contact within the community?

Hi, I was thrown into it over three years ago, been learning for 32 months up-to-now, soooo many goood points, make it universal, before you yourself need it. When starting I had to find all the sources for myself, and I learned how to do that really well, and have collected many obscure ASL teachers that I put in my channel list for other learners to find, so they can have a steady stream of new content for at least a couple years, even if they burn through it quickly. I love making stories, it helps me refine my signing, and it distracts me from worrying about not-yet being Perfect, it's a slooooow, steady process, a little every-day, everything works-out~

Thank you for sharing your story. Are you comfortable sharing any advice with someone who's interested starting their own agency as well?
