I feel like it's a mix of the entertainment industry's (doesn't matter where) focus on teen led stories and probably something like it's easier to rent out a believable highschool than a believable college if that makes sense. Like what you said college is also not a universal experience

Interesting perspective. Ive noticed the same thing with american tv shows too and wondered why they were putting highschoolers into situations more appropriate for people in their early 20s

There really are few uni setting kdramas but I'd say there's more in the cdrama sphere 😅 Though school dramas in general aren't my thing so i don't watch many to begin with if you'd like to give cdramas a try I'd suggest these 4 i enjoyed that are set in college : Put your head on my shoulder(2019) Forever love(2020): this one starts from HS and moves to uni then the work life Lighter and princess(2022) Hidden love (2023) : fl is a uni student
