La beauvoir tout en étant une homosexuelle assumée servait de rabatteuse de jeunes femmes à Sartre; elle était aussi une étouffeuse de scandales grâce au parti communiste . . . .

I'm so glad she has been making the rounds speaking about her films. I certainly wish I could have been at this event! I had the good fortune to attend a screening of "Lili" several years ago in Los Angeles, and Mme Caron spoke at length on the film afterwards. She always has interesting and amusing anecdotes about her experiences at MGM. Even the surviving puppets were on display!

L'avortement est la suppression d'une vie humaine innocente, et aucune circonstance ne justifie l'interruption d'une existence qui a le droit fondamental de se développer. Si on inscrit dans la Constitution le droit d'avorter, on devrait rétablir la peine de mort.

Hurrah, finally a 'French' film in the classic style I understand and love! When can I book? Has policy changed? There seems to be less of this at the Lumiere in 'New Releases' and more 'mainstream stuff' that is also showing elsewhere.

Really glad to hear that this documentary is going to be shown on the BBC in January. So much admiration for Stephen. Not only is he an incredible dancer, but he must also have had incredible strength and determination to have fought his way back from what sounds like an absolutely devastating injury. He comes across as a really thoughtful, genuine and wise person. I'm going to see a live stream of Alice in Wonderland at the cinema next week, and hope I'll have the pleasure of watching him dance the Mad Hatter role again. Sending him very best wishes for good health and happiness.

What's wrong with his accent? I know he's Australian but he almost sounds European, not from the UK where he lives.
