In these rentals at PGP, are you full-throttle the whole time? Do you lift at any point like at the end of the front and back straights? Do you tap the brakes at any point? Any feedback would be appreciated. A major part of a fast lap is knowing where to brake and where not to, and just keep the power on.

Alot of that depends on comfort level, and situation, and your weight, I'm 210lbs with gear on, I only blip the throttle in 2 spots, if you go through my youtube shorts, I filmed just my feet for a throttle guide for people....the GPS wasn't turned on, but right when the video starts, I am going across the flag stand on front straight

LISTEN UP! IF YOU LIKE AA/TF GO TO THE U.S. NATIONALS AT INDY OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND. INDIANAPOLIS RACEWAY PARK, BROWNSBURG, INDIANA. THE LAST TIME I WENT THERE WERE 80 AA/TF FUNNY CARS & DRAGSTERS.The U.S. Nationals is The Grandaddy of Them All. Shirley Muldowney said "Everybody Who's Anybody is at Indy on Labor Day." I like the Qualifying Sessions -OR- Time Trials way more than the Finals, and they have plenty of them. But the Best Best Best is Evening Time Trials Friday Saturday and Sunday Evening. During Really Good Year's They Didn't Get Done Until Midnight. What A Show!!

@@munschracing46 thank you for that. The other part of the story is that I took my new wife who had never been to the races before. She loved everything about it. From the other fans to the great announcers, the spirit of the sport. Just the whole package. Saturday I took 7 more people. Some their first time and my kids not for 20 years. It was a wonderful experience and plans to do it next year with everyone on Friday under the lights. The jet cars were an added bonus!

@TompaDee 65 gauge cluster , and then I shaved radio slot, and cut ends of dash out and put roll cage behind it, then welded back in and grinder smooth

This is a clutchless 4 speed from jeffco, it is a street/downshiftable version of the lenco 4 and 5 speeds nhra prostocks ran back in the day

I'm sorry sounds cool n all...but Manual trans..3 pedals 1 shifter....Automatic..2 pedals ..shift into drive...reverse..n...p..etc...simple. Too much B.S.

Haha we are a stick shift family, and it actually has 4 shifters. That's an all billet alluminum jeffco 4 speed, thanks for watching, all race cars are bad ass, we just happened to be stick shift ford people

I'm confused at your question, when you drag race a car, you cruise to the finish line to put some heat in rear end....tranny....engine...double check everything is running good...ect. hope that is the question you were asking

still new to pgp have driven here a couple times and am currently at an 81.7, will laptime come the more experienced I get and the smoother I execute my race lines or do I need to make big gains

Once you get smooth and consistant, you will develop good habits and racecraft, small gains and just keep chipping away at it, helmet time is key, I have almost 400 races out there if that helps you understand, 81.7 is solid for being new there 👍, do an endurance race so you can run 90 min. It's reverse but again , your just trying to learn kart characteristics
