I have two comments: 1 - The workshop manual states that the plastic cover should be removed by driving a split wedge (or two small wedges) from the rear end of the handle. I did this and did not break or damage any plastic parts at all. No need to pry from either top or buttom of the handle. 2. - You could user some spacers for the speakers, to bring them closer to the door panel, in that way you would not need to fabricate rubber spacers in front of the speakers
