Cant really say, they are bred down from Greenbay Shooter but are so far bred down from him that you could pretty much say they are no longer green bay dogs. If that makes sense...LOL

Maybe shoot 1 a year, the catch and eat a few when running is really good in the spring. Got video's of it on youtube somewhere.

@@buddenny ohh alrighty, just wondering if one was enough for the year. I really just enjoy running them more than shooting them. Why is the running better in the spring? Because of the mating season?

What do you think makes the dogs run like shit? It seems like my pup has a easy time in those conditions. I hunted in really wet snow with a drizzle and snow falling off of the branches. My little pup couldn’t stay on it for very long. Let alone cold trail at all. Any tips would be appreciated, this is my first time owning a beagle.

I've been hunting rabbits and occasionally hares for almost 50 years and have never seen nor even heard about a pack moving three rabbits in the same direction at the same time. Not sure I'd believed it if you hadn't captured it so well. We once stumbled upon a sunny hillside in the snow that was packed with cottontails that exploded everywhere but nothing like this. Again, my heartfelt compliments.

Brings back wonderful hare hunt memories in the lower western Adirondack’s over 1 or 2 exceptional 15” beagles we were blessed with. Most of our hunts the hares were typically 5-8 minutes (minimally) ahead of the dogs given the deep snow conditions. Often the dog(s) would go out of hearing with the wide circle runs the hares typically made only adding to the anticipation! I’m very impressed how well you’ve trained your dogs being able to call them off a hot track !!! You’re a great ‘Hound Man’ ....Nice job Bud !!

Hey this is an awesome video on weasel trapping. I totally don't blame you if you don't want to explain your locations but I was just curious as to what state you gentlemen are trapping in? I live in PA and I had fairly poor success trapping weasels this past winter. With 3 catches out of 10 sets or so I ran for 3 weeks along my beaver and fox line. Out if 30 Trap nights I figured my success rate should be higher. I'll be at it again but maybe I'm not doing something correctly or our weasel population isn't that great. My most effective sets were in clear cuts that were starting to grow back to birch and other small shrubs and whatnot.

Hey Bud, great videos. I grew up with hounds and hunting. My dad had a kennel registered with the CKC, here in Ontario, for over 50 years. We still have 2 dogs, but my dad is now 88 years old and we no longer get out there. The last few times we did, it was at a friends running grounds. Your videos remind me and my dad of the great times we used to have, and hearing the dogs open up and start tonguing, makes tears come to my eyes. It's something that never leaves you, and becomes a part of your soul. Thanks for the good memories.
