No sir, there were lots of bass players before Warman doing the bass thing like Jaco, Stanley Clark, Jamaladeen Tacuma, Anthony Jackson, and the great Marcus Miller. I had the pleasure of seeing Wayman perform many times, and he always had a party on stage, while playing. I'm sure he'd be honored that you mentioned him.;)

You’re right all great bassists but out of the guys you mentioned they were not Smooth Jazz Bassists/Artists. Also Mike has a similar sound like Wayman with the Piccolo strings. Stanley was the other that used them. There’s levels to this!
