I know this was so long ago but can this week long Halloweek movie special marathon be brought back on DirecTV this month since it is October? I recorded a few of these movies (yes on a VCR) and can't find my tape. I loved this when it was on and I think it was done again the next year Halloweek 2007? If this message gets read please pass this on to the scheduling team at DirecTV :). I'm ready for some goofy movies and Thee Goth & She Goth!!

When NBC canceled it, they should have just ended it period and given a happy ending for all fans, especially since no other networks were willing to pick it up. They should never have continued it on DirecTV, as many fans would not have money to pay to subscribe to DirecTV to watch the series. -- However, if they were going to move it to DirecTV; not that I ever supported it, NBC universal should have done a much better job to satisfy all the fans who were still watching it on NBC and could have added more features related to the series when it made the move to DirecTV to attract more audiences and supposedly new potential DirecTV subscribers to continue watching the series. - What NBC universal could have done was provide all happy endings to the story lines on NBC, this way fans who could not have DirecTV can be satisfied with the story lines, for the most part and at least would not be left wondering what is going to happen with the story lines. The series should have continued on DirecTV as a totally new series and give a brand new name and whichever fans have DirecTV can watch it and although maybe not necessary, it would be more interesting to switch some of roles around with different characters and provide the characters with different names. This could have attracted more DirecTV audiences to watch the series and could have had much better potential ratings. Including they could have purchases the rights to re-air NBC episodes, but limit/edit the scenes to speed up finishing airing all of the main points of the NBC story lines, which would have contributed to even more ratings and maybe attracted more fans to be encouraged to subscribe to DirecTV to watch new and old episodes. Also they could have created an online alternative to watch and download the episodes for a fee of course for viewers who do not have DirecTV, but make them free for DirecTV viewers by entering their account numbers. The ratings would have been so much better for the series on DirecTV that it would have been worth it to re air the DirecTV episodes for free on the website and/or maybe another broadcast network would have been interested in picking up the rights to air them much later on, but with limited edited scenes of course to be fair to the DirecTV viewers and online fee viewers. - Instead what they did was, they created cliffhangers on the final NBC episode and then continued the story line on DirecTV because the producers and DirecTV hoped this would encourage as many fans to sign up for DirecTV to continue watching the series, which unfortunately they did not meet the numbers they wanted and the series was canceled immediately. This caused a lot of fans to not be able to continue to watch the series as many could not pay to get DirecTV and when the story lines continued on DirecTV, never mind that they already lost a lot of viewers, but many already DirecTV subscribers were seeing the series on DirecTV's exclusive network for the first time had no idea what the series is about and not knowing it's beginning, so many were discouraged from continuing to watch it, which they could have been new potential viewers to commit to the series to contribute ratings, especially since DirecTV did not even bother to purchase the rights to the NBC episodes for rebroadcasting. They were also too concerned about trying to get as many new subscribers to DirecTV to watch the series instead of focusing on trying to get as many already DirecTV viewers to watch the series; which they were even making money by advertisers as well and because they did not get the numbers of new subscribers to watch Passions on DirecTV, it was canceled very soon.
