I flew there a few months ago. The airport had a weird smell, since I got off the plane I couldn't stop thinking about that smell. Does someone feel the same?

First, love these kinds of videos. Subscribed. Secondly, this is not to be knit-picky but given your proximity to Louisiana, "Bwaa-Dark" is the Louisiana French pronunciation for Bois D'arc. If you were in the Ozarks up in Arkansas, or further West in North Texas, a lot of folks pronounce it "Bow-dark". Sincerely, a born and raised Texan with Cajun friends, and family in Louisiana who grew up with Cajun and Creole folks. For other folks who haven't heard or read about this word, this is just the French name for Osage Orange, a REALLY tough tree considered a hardwood, that has a really neat history.

I just watched your video on Navasota Tx. And I have to say it was a very poor depiction of the quaint little town that it is. You missed turning right off of LaSale St. there are some beautiful old homes back in on some of the side streets worth showing your viewers.

Grew up there, near St. Francis. Once was a clean, beautiful neighborhood in the 60s and 70s. I went one year to Kashmere HS and once I raised my grade score I enrolled in Barbara Jordan High School for Careers. I always wanted the neighborhood to improve and advance but the mindset is not there. In high school as a teen I would drive to River Oaks, Bellaire, Kingwood or Woodlands and wondered what people there did for a living to live there… I found out(in the 80s crack took over and the area went down more)…I studied and did not look back. I had family there that prospered in various businesses, very educated but bought and built nice homes there and stayed. I came back from USAF and bought in Katy. After 10 years as data engineer I moved to Hollywood CA. 16 years there. Then mom called and said your the only son, I’m getting old, you need to deal with the properties here and ranch in Livingston (I did not know about). I got back to Houston before Covid 19. The area was quiet and struggling to clean up. I wanted to help, started with remodeling the old family home (I loved what they did to the Heights). I got involved with some area people but they still have the slave mindset. It shows in how they vote for the same crooks and idiots. I hope things change now with the newly elected 47th president. He gave us opportunity zones in Edo (East Downtown) and I hope they can make it happen in Kashmere Gardens… I won’t hold my breath. It has so much potential. I’ll hold for a bit while I’m in school for A.I. Masters but I’m sure I’ll retire to the country and enjoy serenity there. I hope KG gets developed in the future soon to be one of the jewels of Houston but it will take most of the current population of old mindset people to die or leave.

Looks like a tiny, poor, rundown town. I'm glad I saw this video. There's literally nothing going on in the city. No development 🤣. I was actually planning to buy a really nice house in this City. I bet the job market is non-existent. I'm keeping my ass here in Austin then. Not even a single skyscraper. This is no city. It's a village. If this is how sad its downtown area looks, then i don't even want to imagine what the rest of the city looks like. This is a village, not a city. It's very depressing looking
