needlessly loud and serious power loss from a dual exaust because theres no scavenging, you would have been better off just using that tiburon manifold and a 2.5inch exaust through a long resanator and a good muffler. also your point at the begining of the video was a little silly because normaly when people say to get a new car when the car is an automatic with zero potential like a honda element or a minivan. your car has potential but from the heart exaust tips and wet fart sound it looks like you are taking it in the wrong direction already
@tlr_automotive2 ай бұрын
@@beauyo4722 awfully judgy. You dont know the plans i have for my car and the dual exhaust was definitely out of curiosity, i knew it would lose power and i know other exhaust options are way better. Do you not know what gambler 500 is? Will fit right in

Hater's Garage did this. Tested both the 4-2-1 design you have, as well as the one that's paired 1-2 and 3-4. He tested it true dual, with an X pipe, with an H pipe, then converted his 1-2/3-4 pairing into a 1-4/2-3 "even fire" pairing like you have. Still waiting on him to turn that one into a UEL, hopefully only with a 60% to 120% length increase on the unequal side. KingJamesKong (his Google/YT channel sub-name is "westill" but you'll just have to look up "UEL GSXR 1000" to find him) made an extremely unequal (300% extra) even pulse(1-4/2-3 paired like a 4-2-1) UEL for his GFs Hyundai Kona, but the car blew up and he sold it before he could get a flyby video posted. 300% longer is definitely too long for a UEL for a car, IMO, so I basically STILL have yet to hear a 4-cylinder CAR engine with an "even pulse" UEL header that actually makes sense AND has a full exhaust demo/flyby video for it. BTW the 1-2/3-4 pairing (basically, left half vs right half of the engine) with about 100% extra total length on the UEL side before they all merge into one will give you the traditional Subaru rumble sound. So if from the exhaust port to the collector, cylinders 1 and 2 are 20 inches, you'd want cylinders 3 and 4 to be 40 inches. That's classic Subie Rumble. The Grimmspeed "semi-UEL" sound is 50%, so cylinders 3 and 4 would need to be 30 inches. You can also do either the full rumble or the semi-rumble setup with only ONE exhaust runner (any one, it doesn't matter) and you'll get a more growly tone similar to 2005 and 2006 (specifically) Scion tCs with factory headers. The videos you'll want to sample that sound are "Scion TC Agency Power Exhaust" and "Scion TC Custom Exhaust" by Tyler Herwig.

This is an amazing comment. I've been looking more into this custom exhaust stuff recently as I would like a UEL rumble sound for my car. I'm not sure if the "UEL" headers that exist for the car can really give that sound as videos have been hard to find. I might ask a shop if they can do custom work for me if it's not too expensive.

I love it. Sounds very interesting and different for an inline-4. I would have had a little more muffler to get rid of the rasp, or at least dual resonators and no muffler. This would sound awesome on a Miata or a BRZ.
@nagyandras88574 ай бұрын
Hey , it sounds quite decent. But I would have a bigger muffler on the rear. Its too raspy. Allso... if its a dual , there is no reason to not have an X flow.

X will make it sound like a normal 4-cyl again.

This already sounds much better than regular 4-1 exhausts, but it would sound a hell of a lot better if you loose the cats.

You need a resonator. DO NOT BUY the short ones as they are practically useless. 18" minimum. Depends on your budget but vibrants are the best
@tlr_automotive4 ай бұрын
I used the stock resonator, 1 per side. But i was thinking about maybe a secondary one, ill look into that
