My grandmother lived there and I've visited often. She passed away but whenever we come to Scotland (from Utah-U.S.A) Prestwick is our home base. Coming this fall! Can't wait. It's a great little town. Wonderful bakeries, great fish suppers and little shops. The beach is wonderful to stroll along.

A couple of years ago for a three day break my Wife and I took the overnight sleeper up to Fort William and it poured with rain with high winds and rain for the three days. A walk up the High Street was how shall I say, an experience! It was a relief to get the overnight sleeper back to London. I must say however all we met were very nice people, as there was no sign of SNP nastiness!
