Hello. I live in Cherry Valley, Il. Does anyone have any suggestions for good outdoor wheels/bearings. I just bought a pair of Size 12 Chicago 8601K I believe. They have 805 wheels. I do not know the size of them yet. Or bearing size. I want skates that grip the streets well enough so you do not slide, and that let you ride over small pebbles and twigs and cracks, without launching into space. Any advice? Edit: The skates themselves are also 805s according to Chicago. 8601K is the lot number.

So i brought vnla luna fame indoor skates, 57m/97a they stick to the ground and i tried them in several rinks and they still ride the same , i payed $224.00 and I'm disappointed

I personally use 88- 92a as pushers and 95-97a as speed wheels.... haven't tried 101 or 103s. Setups and rotations and maintenance helps alot too. A set of good thane is at least $200, leaves me dreaming of Wicked Scott's thane - his hot pours are the things of legend.

I grew up going to Great Skate over in Glendale but my childhood best friend lived down the Greenway path from the wedge and I remember one day these 4x4 skaters came down there kinda under the bridge area and completely gapped the huge flat top thing while hitting a 360°! I was so amazed!!

Thank you so much for sharing! I´m fresh meat and it has been very difficult, since last year I broke my left fibula skating. It takes me double the strength and time compared to others in order to accomplish roller skating goals. Without knowing that I have to go to the gym to improve in roller derby, I thought that my battle is even bigger than other beginners due to my injury, so I made a plan and decided to dedicate 1 day of roller skating and the next day at the gym. Best decision ever.

These clip axles are garbage/unsafe!!! I've had them for a couple of years now. I have now had approx. 8-10 incidents of one of the clips flipping open while skating and a wheel come flying off!!! Luckily I have not faceplanted yet! But came close when a wheel came flying off again tonight. I'm trashing these trucks and going back to threaded axles.

I will be using the Bionic Bearings ABEC-7 with Rollerblade Hydrogen 84mm/85a wheels on my inline skates, when the original wheels need replacing. I cannot wait.
