I'm trying to create a notebook for my business so I can keep track of problems on a monday-friday basis. Monday 1-10 and so on. This will include customer name account number, cell number or how to reach them back, carrier, and so on. Any tips or templates?
@CrystalClearLifeКүн бұрын
I would create a notebook with a section for each week 1-52, or monthly sections with weekly subsections, depending on how you count your weeks. I would create a page template for each week that consists of a table to include customer name, account number, cell number, contact, carrier, problem, etc across the top. Then if your clients are recurring clients, you could link via the client name or number to a CRM or contact page that you set up for each client. where you could have additional information and a history of their issues. I would add rows to each table for problems Monday 1-10, Tuesday 1-10 etc. I think tables will be the best option for this. Check out the video where I reviewed a project managemnet notebook. It might have some helpful ideas as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4CVc36JptR4pqcsi=g9k-JzpyutkvIS3I Also in the video where I set up a quilting planner, I share how I created a dashboard of projects with links to the related pages, like I am suggestiong that you do with your clients. The basis for the projects list I use here comes from the project management planner. So it shows you how I took one idea and turned it into something specific to meet my needs. Here is the link for that video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b56pppqAeLyIiNEsi=kwBFAFTjOZcPZ0Bo I hope this helps. It sounds like an interesting project that would be helpful to many others.

Great question. If you make pages, like I make my weeks, subpages, the little arrow will appear and you can open or close that area. To make a subpage put your cursor on the page you want to make a subpage, right click and choose make subpage. You can also promote pages here as well. Thanks for watching and sunscribing!

I downloaded the Daily (@ 53:07 minute mark). when i put it into OneNote the format is horrible. looks nothing like in your screen. How did you get your to look the exact same as the Word Doc? I copy and Paste.
@CrystalClearLife8 күн бұрын
Well I sorry that it is not working out the same for you . I actually went back and did it again so that I could make sure of the steps. I went to calendarpedia website, downloaded the MS word version of Daily template 2. Once it downloaded I opened it in word. Clicked the little plus box in the top left corner to select all, copied and then pasted into OneNote. Mine added a second column on the far right, but I can easily delete that if needed. Remember that you can also hide the borders of some of the areas of the tables if you do not want the extra lines to show. Also I am using a PC running windows 11 and MS 365. I know that Mac's perform many of these tasks differently. I hope this helps and you do not get too frustrated. Remember they are all just tables.

Thank you for sharing your experience here. I have recently found your channel and I love your content. I am new to using OneNote and I have found your channel so helpful in exploring the potential of what OneNote can do for me. Much of the other content seems to be focused on using OneNote in the work or study areas. I’m really interested in how digital tools might help with more personal growth and productivity concerns. I’m mostly paper based at present so your videos are great at highlighting what is possible. I also love the gentle cadence and pace of your voice. I love that you speak out where and when to find eg the tabs you are opening; along with the highlighted cursor it makes it so much easier to follow and find what you are doing. Some creators will whizz the cursor around at speed and say “click here” but I always get lost following the teeny whizzy cursor and I can’t tell where “here” is. Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to share these videos. I’m finding them super helpful. 😊

that was so helpful! thanks for sharing. I have couple of thoughts about the basement. CAn you hire someone to go down and simply clean up some of the dust? and maybe some other things you would feel comfortable with them handling? and then in terms of the sentimental stuff. I feel that is where we can really get stuck. so maybe give yourself a little grace on that, but also start thinking about your parents and what you most want to remember them by. juornal about it and decide: what 2-3 qualities were most inspiring from them? to me, that is what should guide my thinking about keeping stuff from my mom who passed away last year. anyway, just some thoughts on that.

What great ideas! I really appreciate you sharing.🥰 I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. It seems like you have a really good handle on how to do these things. As normal, it's a really good, informative video. I also use PowerPoint if I want to get an exact color match, but this is an excellent option to get a color that is within the range of what you are looking for, for cells etc and I will definately be trying it. I would also take an additional step and add a list of the hex codes for the colors that i chose and add them to my sticker set page just in case I wanted to use them again.

I agree completely! The hex code table is an awesome addition to the sticker pages.

Dear Crystal, I am relatively new to your channel and I love it. I live in the Netherlands. My life is rather chaotic and my ADHD dosn’t help… That’s why I decided to use OneNote in quite the similar way as you do. But I have to start from scratch. Of course your video’s are very helpfull and I am very greatfull to you!!! You’re really doing a great job explaining everything. I am determined to make this work! 😅 There is just one thing that I have trouble finding on your channel… you have probably already made a video tutorial about it, but I cannot seem to find it. You see, on your screen I see Notebooks on the left, Sections along the top bar and Pages on the right sife of the screen. On my OneNote, everything is on the left side vertically and because of that, I have very little space left on the screen. Also, in the window you also have a ring binder notbook look with tabs that let you go from one item to the other. How did you make this? Is there a video maybe with the explanation how to do this? I would be much obliged if you could point me in the right direction. Warm hugs from “across the pond”. 😊❤
@HanaHansVinduska2 ай бұрын
One more question: do you use the free version of OneNote or do you have a Microsoft 365 prescription?
@CrystalClearLifeАй бұрын
Hi, Welcome to the channel community. I use the Microsoft 365 subscription version so it has the most options. But check the view menu, tabs Layout, I use the horizontal tabs so they run across the top of my screen. There is also a small arrow in the top right corner of the page that lets you go to full screen mode so you have maximum work space. For ADHD I highly recomend using customized tags to help keep your to do lists manageable. Here is the link for that video if you need it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hovUaIJqorqCo5I Or you could create a dash board layout that has the areas that you need to focus on. SOmetimes seeing everything in one place is helpful. Again, here is a link, kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKHVqYWQibCjZ5o My notebook graphics is explained in detail here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYfKY6qijNusbLM I hope this information is helpful and I hope that you fing OneNote to be helpful in your life management. I know I do! Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching.

How can you do page tabs that look like regular page tabs? Like bible tabs let's say. It's so frustrating that there are such limits on some design parts of Onenote. Can't rotate and have now clue why when doing shapes you cant change the color of the inside and only get an outline in a color you can't edit.
@CrystalClearLifeАй бұрын
I understand your frustration with the limitations on the design aspects of OneNote but remember it is an old program and is essentially a note taking device not a graphics program. I use PowerPoint to create all of the graphic type things that I need in OneNote, like my notebook background, spiral coil, icons and more. That is where I would suggest that you create your "tabs" that look like real book tabs. I know that some people also use Canva to create grahics to use in OneNote. I find it easier to put them into a table that can be linked, copied and the like. They are much easier for me to manipulate. You mightr want to check out this video for more information on that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIamiHivrcxlmq8 I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching.
