Many thanks for sharing these great tips for using OneNote. I just discovered and subscribed to your channel and I have got lots of inspiration for how to personalize my notebooks. One question though: Where did you purchase the spiral binder image you use and how do you download and store this and similar images for use in OneNote? Once again many thanks and I am looking forward to learning lot of good tips from your numerous videos over the years. It would be great if you also could share some inspiration of how to create notebook cover pages which look like paper notebooks - both modern and retro 🙂

Have you ever used the Fly Lady decorating in zones method? I even store many of my decorations in tubs labeled living room, kitchen, etc. 🎄Often times in January I will put away anything overtly Christmas and leave the greenery and lights into February. Sometimes I add snowflakes ❄️for January and hearts💗 for February. I just love the lights and warm cozy feeling. Please tell I am not alone. 😊

Crystal Great planner. I like the FP. How did you copy the list of your tags to enter into the month basic?
@CrystalClearLife8 күн бұрын
I keep a page in my year long section that has the list. I created it by typing each tag, "To Buy" for example and then tagging the words to get the proper tag box. If I create new tags, I go back and update my list as needed. Hope this helps.

I also like the horizontal -- with the tabs on the top. However, I just found out I can move my pages from the right side of the screen to the left side (keeping the tabs on top). Go to File, Options, Display and then check "Move page list to the left." I prefer my pages on the left ... feels more natural (for me). Thanks for your excellent videos.

Great Video as always Crystal! Glad to see your subscribers are GROWING! I have one question. I don't know how you import a calendar from Calerderpedia that comes in as a "Table?" Is there a video you've posted that shows that? When I do it no matter which format I get it as, I can't get it as a table. Thank you in advance!

Here is an older video that talks about the calendars and how to download them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWfOhoOqorZ_pZosi=0-LhgxTMPkJiN1u2 Also in this Friday's video on how to build the Franklin planner page, I show you how to download into Word, edit colors and size and then take it into OneNote. I hope this helps.

I was not able to do this (maybe outdated Surface Pro that will not update to Windows 11?) .... anyway, I investigated and stumbled upon Microsoft PowerToys where you can open the EYEDROPPER with Windows-Shift-C ... and from there I was able to easily copy the HEX code without writing it down! Yay!

No more keeping track as now I can just open the Microsoft Power Toy Eyedropper and click on any color ... there is even a tool where you can adjust the color if you want.

I too used the F Planner for years as a businessman. Now retired I am trying digitally to use the system of F Planning by using Trello, OneNote, Google Calendar, and presently a new todo app incorporating GTD ....its fun but not that much fun. I miss the old Franklin system, I really like what you did. Now what do I do? I may have to rethink my system? Yours looks so good.

Your concept of a checklist is great. I would suggest a 5-minute list, a 4-hr list and a 24 hour list - meaning you have prioritized the most important items to grab if you only have 5 minutes to evacuate (train wreck, etc.) vs in 4 hours you have more time to brag and pack, etc. Any software that allows for sorting will work. I prefer EXCEL because it allows me to re-sort a list based on how I'm using it that day. The list works great for inventorying and determining re-supply needs or for giving each person their tasks to perform. I'd also add that practice is important. You don't need people bumping into each other or people rushing down steps while carrying heavy loads in the dark. You might find that repositioning the evacuation vehicle from the back door to the front may save time and energy when stressed. What ever list you make - rehearse it, in the dark - can you find needed items in the dark. The bad thing may happen at 7AM or 7PM - both are dark in many places during winter months. Thank you for starting this discussion for having a plan. It's an important topic. Most people focus on "things" rather than having "a plan."

I'm glad you liked the checklist idea. I like your suggestion of having multiple lists, that is a great idea! In OneNote I can move the items from the top to the bottom with the little gray handle on the far left hand side you are correct I should put them in order from the most important to the least important. I do like the idea of using Excel with the filter feature as well. I will take that into consideration. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas. I hope I never have to evacuate in the dark

This is very interesting. I've been seriously contemplating purchasing a physical Franklin Planner because the digital tools have fallen short of my expectations. I used both the Franklin Planner and Day Timers in the 80's and 90's.
@CrystalClearLife27 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing. There is something about a physical planner that is so comforting, isn't there? I just loved mine. I had the big letter size! But the flexibility, linking pages and search feature in OneNote really make digital the right choice for me. Thank you for watching.

That is amazing! I have tried to recreate a planner in One Note before, but have failed. I have an analog Franklin planner right now. How did you make the weeks compass replicate on the daily pages? Is there a setting to do that? Thank you for sharing!
@CrystalClearLife27 күн бұрын
You can do it! I just put the blank compass on Monday, filled it out for the week like I would on paper. Then copy and paste it to the rest of the week. You could do it all at once but I prefer to do it each day as I am planning. It makes in more intentional and helps me focus on the big rocks. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
