Jimmy Mac Trucks Karel Soucek died Jan 20/85 . Karel was recreating his Stunt of going over Niagara Falls in a Barrel . A lot of stories have been written about how he died by hitting the side of the pool , all which were WRONG . Karel was killed from the sudden impact due to the foam which was supposed to be tied to the bottom of the pool rose to the top of the pool . The stop was sudden killing him at the point of impact , it had NOTHING to do with the Barrel contacting the side of the pool . As with a lot of Media stories about this event most of what was reported was inaccurate . I was there that night at the top of the Astrodome as part of his crew ... We shock hands and I said good luck . When we lowered him down to the drop position the count down started . The Barrel did start to spin a little because of the rope tied to the Barrel was somewhat twisted , this had no effect in the outcome as written . The rope to the Barrel was cut and the Barrel drop straight down to the pool below , it was like trying to thread a needle from 180 feet above .. the Barrel had a piece of plywood nailed to the bottom of the Barrel in case it should land straight up , this would have prevented the water pressure at impact from firing him out of the Barrel like a cannonball . That piece of plywood is what hit the side of the pool and to the untrained eye it all of a sudden became the cause of his death . I tried many times to correct this story of Karel's tragic end but to no avail and so this was a last resort here today. Karel and I had worked together on previous stunts successfully .. he was a well trained Stuntman but anytime your pushing the envelope (so to speak) the success/failure odds are very high . Karel loved doing what he did and never backed down from a challenge .. to live and die by the sword . If your ever in Niagara Falls Karel is Resting at the Drummond Hill Cemetery .... I hope I cleared up the long awaited truth for ya Karel ... R.I.P. my friend .

Cette série, est incroyable..il y a du suspense, de l'action, Purdey en femme fatale, indépendante, et karaté girl, un régale...j’en est parlé à mes enfants, née en 2000. Pour leur culture générale des pépites, de notre époque..même la musique étaient incroyable...

comment oublier l'episode charniere avec Emma Peel en generique de debut et Tara King en generique de fin mais aussi dans les chaussures et dans les bottes .... avec les bottes mais aussi les gants de cuir ....tout un monde de classe d'elegance avec un soupçon de fantasmes
