1st step should be making sure it's not a rare Earthquake annihilator before tearing it apart. It was worth an Easy 50 bucks in that condition. Please don't encourage this. You could sell them to collectors way easier then this and we pay better. I would have paid 20 for this myself.

@bass-n-truth-inthestix90836 жыл бұрын
What I was thinking as far as easier way to take the magnet off the woofer is... aren't there just screws/bolts that you can take out and then it just separates? Maybe some sort of adhesive you have to break free as well but I have a few older subs laying around and I believe I can take them apart with just a screw gun. I could be mistaken though. I didn't know magnets are scrappable aside from just going in the "light iron" Scrap heap? Do they give a specific rate on magnets?
@pkqkennywood6 жыл бұрын
BaSsAholiC depending on your area meaning the size of scrap yard magnets can be scrapped. Rare earth neo you should sell online/ local university students are really good for buying them
@bass-n-truth-inthestix90836 жыл бұрын
pkqkennywood right on, I use Schnitzer steel which I believe is nationwide. They probably do take them. Never thought to separate them though because I didn't know there was any reason to. As far as payout goes. I'm glad to see scrap prices finally going up that's for sure.

Ignore the idiots who commented. I totally enjoyed this; i'm a 73 year old woman who just learned about rare-earth magnets, and their uses. I have all the tools you use,, and I love magnets. I felt like I was hangin with the type of man friends I've had over the years who teach me, since childhood. Thank you

Hey pkqkennywood. I know this was posted a few years ago, but we wanted to thank you for posting this video and are glad that you're having fun with the craft of blacksmithing. We now sell a few more things on our website (kensiron.com). If there's anything else that Ken's Custom Iron can do for you, please let us know.

Ok, this is extremely unsafe. Propane goes to the source of ignition, I am really surprised he did not blow up. Yes, using a bleeder valve would work too, but this is an old valve, so who knows if it's working. This should not be recommended to anyone.
@flamingomtn10 жыл бұрын
No need to drill unless you want to blow yourself up. There is a small release valve on the side of the valve... Just unscrew it.

pkqkennywood . lol would you like an award for holding a camera and taking a magnet off a speaker? I have several dozen videos on here but sorry, I usually clean up a bit and rehearse what I'm going to say so I don't make a fool of myself. For someone who did a one-handed video though, you actually did a very decent job. .. and the Emmy goes to..
@Father.Beocca8 жыл бұрын
+Jared Moody, nice attempt to get views on your videos but no thanks. I don't surf videos to troll, I was actually looking for a video on how to remove magnets from speakers without breaking them. That being said, nice technique with the bo staff.

After all costs, are you making about $1 an hour? LOL If it is glued on, try heating it up, I'm sure it will loosen the glue. But, that might increase your operating costs.. LOL

once the gas has dropped below a certain psi, the internal valve, will keep some of the gas inside
@stevenrose583111 жыл бұрын
why cant you just attach an old grill valve on the tank. Cut the line and open the cap. Wouldnt that let the gas out
