Awful
@YuCanCookWithCarole
@YuCanCookWithCarole Ай бұрын
why is it awful? This is how restaurants prepare chicken to then be cooked again in a stir-fry. It is how chinese restaurant chicken is so juicy, because velveting keeps the juices in. It's not to be eaten like this, it's to be used to prepare chicken for a stir-fry. There's more explanation on my website at www.thisisyu.com/2023/06/02/how-to-velvet-chicken/

Ruin the recipe! that looks dry.
@YuCanCookWithCarole
@YuCanCookWithCarole 3 ай бұрын
When you actually try the recipe, you'll find that the chicken is still almost raw in the middle, and juicy and tender from the cornstarch coating. This is only the first step in velveting chicken to be then used in stir fry. Take a look at the blog post, and you'll see that it's not dry at all! Goodluck, let me know if you try it! www.thisisyu.com/2023/06/02/how-to-velvet-chicken/

In order to do a fair comparison of the cost of canned versus soda stream, you will need to include the cost of the cartridges of carbon dioxide. I didn’t hear any calculation on the cost of the carbon dioxide. I suspect if you include that and replacing the machine every two years which is what the warranty is, it might even be more expensive to buy the soda stream. Has anyone taken time to calculate that out?
@yaya-nt9hs
@yaya-nt9hs 2 жыл бұрын
the cartridge make 60 L of fizzy water, if you buy it at discount or not ( somewhere like canadian tire) , it costs 25$ taxes included. The cheapest you get from costco would be 18 L i think at 16$ , and so much much plastic.

I actually have had my soda stream for a good at least five years and it still is efficient in the carbonation.
