Do you by any chance work or have experience on Bosch combo wash dry. Although mine is a UK model I was using it in the US,yes we have 220v. All the sudden it got struck half cycle boiling above 100*C. Once unplug cooled and empty all I get are there two errors E 20 E61
@bootsowen10 сағат бұрын
What do the errors mean? Have you checked? You have a different frequency of electric in USA. 60Hz I think. 50 hz in U.K. maybe that has an effect.

@@bootsowen I can't find anything on line about those two cpdes
@bootsowen7 сағат бұрын
I’m not a Bosch repair person so I don’t know the codes. But if it was me it would try it on a spin drain and see if it works. That means that everything works except the heater element. I reckon that the relay on the pcb that drives the heater is stuck on. Easy to replace.

You’ll have to reset the error codes then. I would google it.

What is the tool you are using to release the pressure in the tanks? Are you just sticking a pin in the valve? Also, how are you making sure the gas is releasing safely and not depressurizing to quickly and out of control? Thank you
@bootsowen10 сағат бұрын
I just stick a little screwdriver in. The gas can’t come out too fast. Worst that can happen is the can gets very cold. I used a wrench in the video. Now I use an impact driver to remove the valve. Much faster.

Very likely that the rectifier board is cooked (the small one), somewhat common issue on these. All that board does is convert AC to DC for easier speed control and quieter operation - the motor is being run on DC as you figured. Those boards usually fail due to sparky brushes, although I've seen them go for no apparent reason as well - that being said, if you do decide to fix it, giving the motor an overall health check-up isn't a bad idea. Holding the start button and turning the dial to cottons will show you the last error code stored on the machine (you have to keep holding the start button until the screen lights up - it should say something along the lines of E - -). If you press the start button again, you will enter the step by step service/test mode of the machine (the door has to be shut) which includes a motor test; 004: clockwise rotation, 005: anti-clockwise rotation, 006: spin up to 600 or 1400 rpm. Pressing the start button advances the test step.

Thanks. There isn’t much to test on the rectifying board. So maybe I’ll look at it again.

Quick tip if you want to test it and it’s reassembled hold start button for around five seconds then turn to cotton keeping it helt. When you see an error code or e- you are in service mode. let go of the start button. The Error code is just a stored error code from the machines past life so you can see if anything has gone wrong and then you can google it and that might help. Press the start button until you see 06 and that is the spin mode where it will spin to its max speed. if it doesn’t do that then it could be helpful diagnosing the fault. The other numbers so 4,5,6,7,11 are also for testing. 6 and below are drum turning ones and 7 and 8 i think are filling ones from different compartments and 11 is heating with tumbling. Hope this helps

Great video! One thing to consider is how locks can wear over time. Dirt and grime buildup can make it harder for the locking mechanism to engage fully, especially on older locks. This actually happened to me with an OnGuard armored cable lock I had for several years. After a while, it wouldn't fully engage the bolts. I couldn't get it to click shut properly, and it would sometimes slip out of engagement. I'm not sure if something broke internally or what caused it, but luckily, OnGuard was very helpful. This is a good reminder to check your lock regularly for proper engagement, especially if it's a few years old. Here's a tip: Make sure both ends of the U-lock (or shackle on a cable lock) are fully seated in the locking arm. A crooked insertion or misalignment might leave one side unsecured. To check this, try gently pulling on the U-lock after it's locked. If there's any give, double-check the engagement. While pulling won't stop bolt cutters completely, it's a good way to identify a potential weakness. For extra security, some U-locks have a slight resistance when fully engaged. Try giving it a little twist to see if it budges. If you notice your lock isn't engaging properly, register it with the manufacturer (most offer replacements) and consider getting a new one. Remember, a U-lock with a cable lock provides even more security for your bike.
