It’s amazing how logic can be twisted to accommodate sin. Romans 7:1-3 1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. Can anyone really believe that God thinks adultery is a justifiable remedy for adultery, or abandonment? Can anyone really believe that, ignoring God’s word for convenience is acceptable to him. Would you sell yourself just to accommodate your desire? Don’t be a fornicator like Esau, who sold his inheritance for a morsel of food.

Scripture has been watered down so much .. the closest translation is the KJV and sexual immorality is not in Matthew 19 .. it’s fornication .. and you have to understand the context of the conversation between Jesus and the Pharisees.. there is actually no exception for divorce. Divorce is actually the ultimate in unforgivness .. if a divorce happens BOTH are to remain alone or reconcile with each other . If you marry another you are to divorce that adulterous marriage ( repentance is turning away from sin not staying in it ) This is the great sin in the church today divorce and second etc. marriages .. it is not ok to divorce ( destroy that marriage and family ) and marry another and stay in that marriage.. you will not enter Heaven , adulterers will not enter Heaven No where does scripture say the divorcer or divorcee can marry another .. no where does Jesus say that .. we are called to die to our sins , we are to die to our flesh . You are leading people to sin and stay in sin snd as a pastor you have blood on your hands and you will be denied by God ( that is in scripture!!)

You can remain in the objective truth of God’s word, or reject God’s authority to satisfy your desire, convenience, and humanist indulgence, with later false reasoning. Why do people think they can justify sin by redefining it as “ reasonable”?

@@debra9700 Church of "Christ?" KJV is a decent translation but it isn't perfect as none are. -Divorce is a concession by God, not a preference. There are exceptions for divorce. (Mt 19:9 and 1 Cor 7:15) -Getting a venereal disease due to your spouse's adultery, physical abuse, and threats on your life and staying in that marriage is not the "ultimate in forgiveness." You can forgive someone and still divorce them if you have grounds to do so. -Nowhere in the Bible does it say to leave a second marriage. Nowhere. In fact, Jesus recognized the marriages of the woman at the well. They were actual marriages. In addition, if a couple were married under unscriptural grounds, it is likely that they should stay in that marriage (and it is a marriage) as you would likely be destroying another family. God showed grace to David and Bathsheba and allowed them to remain married. I know what you're going to say, "They were ok because Uriah was dead! :)" In that case, you would be putting divorce as an unforgivable sin whereas murder would be more acceptable. Paul also says to stay as you are in 1 Corinthians. -If you are pulling 1 Corinthians 6:9 and are actually going to use it, you must be completely sinless. you have likely committed adultery in your mind, you have lied, you have been a idolator (anything that you show preference for). You will not enter heaven, either. -as far as remaining unmarried. -Yes, there are exceptions for divorce 1 Cor 7:15-abandonment by an unbelieving spouse and sexual sin by the other spouse Matthew 5:32 and Matthew 19:9. As far as a following marriage, if it is a Biblical reason, then marrying again would be accepted and had been done since the days of Moses.
