I'm 64 now, blessed to have been born and raised in Hawaii growing up in our beach house right at Ehukai Beach/Pipeline!!! It was so nice back, growing up in the 60's and 70's especially out in the "country" when it was just sugar cane fields everywhere and a small close knit community out there, especially surfing! I started surfing in 65' when I was 5 years old, and never looked back. Growing up with Pipeline right literally off my porch, was an amazing place to grow up. I've been so deeply involved with the ocean, surfing and diving and freedive spearfishing and commercial fishing, it's what has truly defined my life! I just lkve this surf film!!!!!! It's one of the best and we'll done I've seen!! The surfing and whole encompassing life with shaping and design etc, shows a look into this incredible surfer!! In my era, there were some famous switch stance surfers, Jock Sutherland and Owl Chapman to name a few, and one of my best friends I grew up with was surfing regu8and goofy from when he first started surfing, and although I can do it, I'm primarily regular foot, but it's really refreshing to see here as it seems rare in today's surfers. WOW!!! From the level of surfing, to the incredible flow shown, including the close relationship a surfer/shaper has with there surfing, this is a wonderful example of the existence serious surfers live. So nice to see surfing in great waves that are totally uncrowded!!! That's something not seen much today. I grew up surfing places alone a lot in Hawaii back in my day, and it's such a special connecting experience alone with the flow and rhythm of the waves!! The music in this surf films so good, and the cinematography is excellent!!!!! I'm a professional photographer and cinematographer and I've been doing it for 50+ years, and I really appreciate seen great work and editing!!! Well done!!! Being in a dark headspace these films would fill me with a sense of calm. The feeling of being on an adventure while watching these films really helped me escape my own mind while it was trying to destroy itself. For this hour I could forget what was going on and remember how great life can be. I'm alot better recently, just greatful for little glimpses of hope while in that space. So Thanks guys still enjoy rewatching every now and then too ❤
