The Zelda series always has some brilliant composers, but this one is so amazing. Sailing the Sand Sea and Tadtone Trial are the best in the series and I continuously listen to them.

I've always been a Zelda fan since I was 5 years old playing the Oracle games on my gameboy, and later moving on to WindWaker when I was around 7. I played all the 3D Zelda's except for Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword, and Breath of the Wild. Until I met my boyfriend who I've been with for nearly 2 years now. He introduced me to his favorite Zelda, which is Skyward Sword of course. He watched me experience the entire game for the first time and it was so magical experiencing this amazing game with him. The story, the music, and the adventure we went on together will be a core memory in my heart forever. I bought Breath of the Wild on release as well, but for some reason had never played it until my boyfriend encouraged me to try it. And I'm so so happy I did. BOTW is another just truly breathtaking experience, and I'm so happy I got to share my first experiences of these amazing games with my favorite person and best friend :')

I've never played Skyward Sword, but I heard this song in a video about it and spent the past 2 years looking for this. I finally found it, the song itself has made me emotional, but now knowing what goes alongside this music, it's even more emotional. I'm gonna go find a playthrough of it now, just to really feel the emotions tied to this song that I never got to experience.

although skyward sword is definately not my favourite zelda game, it's music and atmosphere is unmatched imo. botw/totk is a very close second, tho, followed by twilight princess

When I was younger, even before I owned Skyward Sword, I cried listening to this and to her farewell since we couldn’t afford it. When she popped up in BOTW (her theme at least) after the hardest sword trial ever, I cried again when I heard her. She has always been there, for millennia, sleeping and guarding the sword and our hero. She’s apart of the sacred power.

I feel like there's almost a mourning quality to this motif. "May we meet again in another life", knowing that this must always happen in times of unrest, of chaos, violence and death. Yes you will keep meeting, but these meetings are always heralded by tragedy and doom, and are themselves doomed to silence, with Fi unable to explore her newfound humanity in fleeting moments where they are together again until the evil is driven from the kingdom and the time comes for her to rest in solitude again for all eons to come once she is no longer needed. A cycle that is without end due to the limitless hatred and malice of the Demon King who cursed them all to perpetual conflict.

Decade update. This goes unsurprisingly hard. While the 3ds eshop went down, I can safely say that I would’ve enjoyed this game, if I had the chance to play it. Anything like a sexual would be great, especially since Layton is starting to come back into the light!
